Noctic couldn’t handle the doctor’s words. His brother was /not/ dead. Not if he could help it.
In a flash, he grabbed his brother’s dead soul. No positivity, no negativity. To the doctors’ dismay, he wrapped both hands about it. They tried to stop him-- but nothing compared to Noctis’ determination to keep his brother with him.
“I’m sorry, dear brother.”
SHOCK!
Kai’s eyes (heh) shot open, before he started to panic, sitting up quickly (making him drowsy) and tearing the bandages off so he could see.
Thud.
He looked down beside his bed.
“Nocty...?”
Noctis lay there, dead.
I’m kidding
Noctis breathed softly, having exhausted all of his energy and even will to stay awake by the shock. Kai wanted to get up and go to his little brother, but the doctor’s wouldn’t allow it. He began to cry.
“Give him to me.”
“Mr. Von Licht--”
“GIVE ME MY BROTHER!”
