Sometimes I want to reflect on the winding paths I've taken. As I stand in the dimly lit passage, a question lingers: "Did I lose my way?" It's not for me to pass judgment. Estranged from my mother, I've strayed far from the obedient daughter I was. Yet, I haven't succumbed to becoming like the wraiths in the Berlin subway, cursing life. So what have I gained from these years of wandering, of evolving? The answer, which is probably a mosaic of life's complex lessons, still eludes me - so you, my dear audience, are stuck with poor confused Iris for some more time.
