Description "Hey, Kyuu! Would you stop typing on that stupid laptop and help me baby-sit for little Nessie, here? Where the hell is Jake when ya need him?" Called Roxy from across the room. I shot the wolf girl a look as I closed my laptop.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. 'I am really not very good with kids.' I've heard it a hundred times already, yeesh! I just need you to watch her for a second while I tend to some biological needs, thank you very much!" She whined, shoving the quickly growing halfling into my arms and storming off.

"Ohayo, Ren-chan." I said, softly, not wanting to get her riled up. She responded by simply pointing at the kitchen. "Ah, I see. Let's get something tasty, ne?"

She was sitting on the counter in the Cullen's kitchen with a cup half filled with blood when Roxy wandered back in.

"Ugh, I shoulda' known. I couldn't figure out what the frickin' hell
she wanted." She sat on the counter next to the young girl.

"And so you gave her to a vampire to give her a meal. How considerate…" I trailed off as I sensed people approaching. The front door opened and closed softly and a familiar earthy scent filled the air, coupled with a new one.

"Ohayo, Jacob-kun. We are in the kitchen." I finished as the giant entered, happiness filling his eyes as he saw his true love.

"Whozzat?" Roxy growled out, munching on a mysteriously appearing sandwich.

"Oh, this is Seth Clearwater. Don't worry, Nessie likes him." Jacob tacked on at the end as Roxy leaned towards Renesmee. The young man - Seth- still had not said anything yet. I looked back from staring out the wall of windows to find him staring at me.

He must be waiting for us to speak first; what a gentleman... I thought before I spoke.

"Ohayo gozaimasu, Seth-san. It is a pleasure to meet you." I tried not to sound like my usual detached self as I tried to make him feel like I was not a threat.

I tried, and failed at, smiling warmly, my mouth not entirely used to the movement, but he smiled back, just being polite, I assumed.

"Ah, so you're the kid who blocked Bella's attack when she found out that her once-potential-boyfriend had imprinted on her daughter. You got guts, kid. I'll give ya' that." Roxy hopped down from the counter with Renesmee, gave the girl to Jacob, pat Seth on the shoulder, and sauntered into the living room for some TV. She was followed soon after by Jake.

Seth and I stood awkwardly in the kitchen for a while, him still staring at me and me still trying to figure out why while perfectly acting nonchalant. He gave a small cough, and looked away, blushing. The blood boiling in his cheeks reminded me just how thirsty I was. I tried to go hunting as little as possible. I was just so tired of living I did not really care whether or not my thirst was quenched. I took this (awkward) time to study the boy, to see if he was someone I could rely on, unlike the rest of humanity. He seemed nice enough, albeit rather shy, and he had a delicious smelling scent that would be just something to die for when he was in his wolf form. I would have to keep that in mind and make sure I was well fed around him. Besides that, he seemed to be someone I could get along with. Gently, I took his hand, a motion telling him that I was not dangerous, attempting to smile again, and lead him into the living room to await the arrival of the halfling's parents.

It was after a few hours of mindless children's shows when the rest of the Cullen's came home. I was once again greeted by a disapproving look from Alice (she never seemed to like my choice of clothing), a grin and a laugh from Emmett, a glare (complete with a scowl) from Rosalie (we truly hated each other), a wave of happiness from Jasper, and hugs from Carlisle, Esme, Edward, and Bella.

"AH! FREE AT FRICKIN' LAST!" Cried Roxy excitedly, jumping up from the
sofa and bolting towards the door.

I stared after her, wondering how she could always be so happy, when Edward started chuckling. Seth suddenly excused himself to bathroom and Jacob stared after him quizzically. All eyes were on Edward now, except mine, which were still watching those stupid shows.

"Edward's finally snapped," Emmett chuckled, "He's heard one too many voices to be legally sane anymore." Edward, I assume, punched him.

"I'm not crazy, Em. I just heard something… rather unusual." He sat on the arm of the sofa, next to me.

"Does it explain why Kyuu-chan's future just disappeared?" Alice asked, perching on another chair. Now my attention was caught and I looked up at the mind-reader.

"Probably, considering Seth just imprinted on her."
