Description
So, the two new legendaries were released a few days ago, and the white one was totally my fav. But he looked a bit bland in Nintendo's style, so I decided to spruce him up a bit.But first, if you haven't seen the official art yet, please check it out- [link]
Anyways...
The first thing I did with my version of him was give him more colors. All white is kinda boring so...I used the dark blue and pink in the original's shading to add some color to his wings and tail. Also, those circles on his original design looked weird so I decided to make them floaty and golden, like halos...cause he looks like an angelic kind of creature. And then, Zekrom would be the demonic one ololol
I made the hair on his head and the poofy stuff coming out of his tail see through and mist like because it looked cool. And the weird shapes on his tail became feathers, with the inner shape being a fox tail. I also kept his weird crotch shape, but I made it feathers, so it doesn't look as strange.
I like the big pose the most cause the wings came out how I wanted, and I drew a smaller pose without his rings so you could see a clearer view of him...yeah...I really like my version of Reshiram. I'm gonan draw him like this forever cause Nintendos version just like...it's cool, but like I said before, I feel like it could have been a lot more in depth. It seems a bit chaotic to me, with all the weird shapes. I dunno

The tail is kinda confusing~ I think you should make it more monochrome. But I really like this design, much better than nintendo's. C:

Well, the original tail was also pretty busy haha. I gave my tail more colors so you could tell what part was which..if it was all one color I wasn't sure if people would be able to tell what was going on

Yeah, that's true, too. You could always make more variations of one color instead of having clashing blue - yellow - purple. Like the crazy zig zag purple tail parts could be ice blue or something. But I dunno! Your version is already pretty awesome, so even if it stays the same it'll be cool

I see what you mean, but I wanted to use the colors that the original had- the blue and purple were directly eyedropped from the official art. The only thing I added was the gold for the rings and claws, because the rings looks weird as blue

now that i look at your design, YOUR RIGHT! They did make the new legendaries kinda....blah. I personally really like the golden claws and rings, they add the...what to call it....the SPLASH of bright color it needs. Do you think you could Zekrom too? I'd LOVE to see how you would do he/she/it ^.^

Oh my God, this is SO much better! I love Reshiram as it is, but you're right, Nintendo's version was kinda... bleh... color-wise. But I love all the little variations of color you added! The gold rings and claws are the perfect touch and you even made its crotch-fluff look ok. xD
You should do Zekrom next!

Yeah, I know it IS Pokemon Black and White, but... you can use more than just black and white for the legendaries, you know? And I'm looking forward to seeing Zekrom, if you do him!

okay yeah, you fucking nailed him/her/it.
I really liked the original to begin with, but in this, like all the weird and awkward looking shits on that original: you've taken it away and fixed it up. Those legs are SO much better; and it's a lot better with more bones in the arm, and the little golden rings add a lot for her; both of the new Pokemons could do with a splash more colours on them.

Yeha I like the rings myself, I think it looks sweet with them being floaty like that. When they were plastered to the tail it looked so unnatural and clunky.
For the legs I went with my desire to make this look like a bird/dog/dragon hahaha so I gave him paw pads and stuff olol
I dunno, I might XD Depends on my mood haha. If I did I wouldn't change too much cause the Nintendo design for him is pretty cool in itself. I'd give him some dark purple and blue colors tho I think, and make his hair misty and his tail a big drill kind of thing....yeah

For some reason, I thought of you when I saw the new monster, its some kind of bird dog, your bread and butter.
I like that you added some color to it, I really hate the new legendaries color pallette, theres barely any contrast. Just those little yellow highlights really improves its look.

Yeah I think it helps the design alot. Well, I was talking to bigbadcomplex, and he said that they might be having a chess theme, because the tails look like rooks and queens or whatever...so maybe that's the reason for the limited colors?
