Description
So anybody remember those pen drawings I did of various WOF characters? I decided I want to go back and clean them up and add colors! It was a lot of fun to ink and color these guys, I tried to get the colors as accurate to the book descriptions of them as I could. However some characters didn't have eye color described so I had to guess

I tweaked some of my designs from the first take, which is here-

Queen Coral is basically just a typical Seawing and looks the most like Joy Ang's illustration. I'm going to have all the Queens I draw follow that pattern, I think. It gives me a sort of 'base' to deviate from. I can look at Coral and say, ok typical Seawings look like this, and then make small alterations on the snouts or horns to make each character look unique.

Tsunami isn't described as having a torn ear but come on, she fights so much she has to have some kind of scars or something

King Gill's colors are described as 'sea green'. I hate how the graphic novel made him this gross dull green color but meh, maybe it's because he was dehydrated? Anyways, this is how I imagined he would look when healthy.

For Webs I had his horns lay very flat and not really have any curve to them. I was inspired by how my German Shepherd looks when he puts his ears down. I thought that sort of look would be good for a cowardly character.

Riptide looks kind of like his dad, but shorter horns as he is younger, and his snout isn't as rounded as Webs's is.

Nautilus's design is where I started varying how the glowing scales looked. It says in the book Seawings can have different glowing scales, so I changed the shapes of them for some characters. I dunno, little triangles looked cool for him. Also the spiral design looks sweet in color I think!

Whirlpool....oh boy this guy. So a lot of people draw him as being all handsome and charming, but in the books he was described as having 'blobby, frog-like eyes' and being a general gross weirdo. So I tried to have that come across in my design for him. I also made his chin and fins look a bit similar to Gill, as Queen Coral said the two looked kind of alike.

Shark's design is still my fav for sure~ It's cool seeing him in color. The book says he is a dull green that is almost grey, I like the color I picked for him. Also I made his fins curved and pointy like a shark's.

And finally Piranha, a character who only appears a few times, but she sounded so cool. She's supposed to be a dark greyish blue with lots of scars and a missing horn. I also gave her crooked teeth and diamond shaped glow scales, cause they added to the pointy, ragged look she has.

Also, small design headcanon: female Seawing's chin danglies curve backward, and males curve forward

Hope everyone likes these! I haven't decided which tribe to color next though :0
