Description Drew this today at lunch. Inspired by re-reading my Megaman Megamix manga collection, I decided to design my own Robot Master (something I haven't done in a VERY long time).

I wasn't initially thinking along these lines, but it ended up with Reactor Man being designed to handle incidents like the one involving the Fukushima nuclear reactors. Reactor Man's purpose is twofold.

Phase 1: Reactor Man continuously extracts radioactive trace elements from the ground (through the devices on his legs) and air (through the vent on top of his head) to remove environmental contamination resulting from a nuclear fallout event. These trace elements are condensed into six fuel rods in his shoulders (two are extended here, as they would for cooling).

Phase 2: Using an internal breeder reactor (a nuclear reactor that can produce energy from both the initial material and the subsequent elements it decays into), Reactor Man is able to generate vast amounts of electricity. He then connects to the local powergrid via his left hand and supplies power to the region in place of the damaged/destroyed reactor facility. His hand passes electrical current directly, removing the need for an intact power station. This universal interface is critical, as there is no way of predicting the extent of the damage to the local infrastructure.

In terms of what might be construed as weaponry, Reactor Man's right arm "Atom Smasher" is an emergency purge system for his internal reactor. If he chose to, he could unleash massive amounts of radiation from it, and even direct it at a specific target. His left hand is also very dangerous, as he could pour millions upon millions of volts through it and into anything in arm's reach.

As for weaknesses, Reactor Man is quite susceptible to overheating, and will go into emergency cool-down if his core temperature gets too high. When this happens, all six fuel rods extend, and steam vents from his head. This is a hardwired safety mechanism, and he is unable to move or attack until he is cooled down.

Due to his high-voltage nature and hazardous fuel, he must remain grounded at all times, and therefore walks quite slowly and does not jump while performing his primary functions.

A clever adversary could do one of three things to defeat him:
1. Dodge his attacks until he overheats, then attack with a flame-based weapon to keep him from returning to a safe temperature. The resulting meltdown should be quite spectacular.
2. Plug his head-vent. Same result.
3. When he's at his hottest, attack with an ice-based weapon to rapidly cool his body and cause it to fracture. Then keep doing that until you're sure his reactor's totally frozen to prevent meltdown.

NOTE: I know, his form is quite derivative of Air Man. It wasn't really intentional, but it's different enough to be its own thing. I also love Air Man, so I'm still happy with it.

EDIT: I JUST noticed that this has the same pose as several other drawings of mine. Can you find them all?

I like a lot. Would fit well in a Megaman 7-style game.

He's a cool one. I love the cooling rods extending out of his shoulder plates.
