Lore about the place they're at:
At one time, this place was just a waterfall and a clearing. Someone came up and set up shop.
Who might that be? A nun. A nun from the cruel, dark city way off in the distance.
This nun set up a shrine, and erected that cross on those rocks and fastened spotlights into the hillside to shine up on the cross.
The nun offered confessions, and baptisms for new believers and returning believers.

There was a group of people that would come up to this place to hear the nun, and profess their sins.
Over time, the church in the city was losing people because more and more people were going up there and not coming to the church.
To combat this, the priests in the city told the nun to quietly shut down up there and abandon that place in the hopes that people would come back to the church and everything would be fine.

However, as people wanted to hear the nun more that the greedy and pervy priests in the corrupted city, they kept coming up there, and would grow ever more saddened that no one was there, and the place fell to ruin.
The walls of the shrine rotted away, and the support beams holding up the roof were waterlogged and warped with the months and years that passed.

The only things that remained in there was a small rotted altar with two rotted and warped chairs and the warped door frame.
There was a particular man who was having difficulties with his faith, and the nun promised that she would always be there for him and that she would be there to help him through his questions.
However, when she left, the man grew wary, and even more hopeless as he searched the site for his friend and she'd turn up missing every day for three months after she shut down.
One day, he couldn't take it anymore, and climbed up on the rocks by the cross and jumped off to his death.
Ever since then, rumors have swirled that that place was cursed, and that only a holy act could reconsecrate the place.
Hence their proposal here.

You might be asking how they knew about that place?
Well, the site was common knowledge prior to the nun setting up up there, and at that time, most people went up there to skinny dip, or do other "naughty" things behind the waterfall. It was merely a place where drunk teenagers would go to cause trouble and "get nasty" with a one-night stand. There was barely even a road to mark the entrance. The Nun paved a walking path up the hill when she moved in.
When the Nun discovered the place existed, she came up the hill, and discovered no one up there, and decided she wanted to do her own thing, and in a much more "nurturing" manner than what the church was doing in the city at that time.
The city was becoming a "nest of vipers", and there were many within that city who were good folks, but when the darkness settled upon that city, she had to get away, and the best way to do that was make her own place.

Kimmy knew about the rumors, and wanted to see if they were true, and, more importantly, if she and Cami could be the ones to dispel that curse!
Cami was somewhat aware of the rumors of the curse, as many of her patrons spoke at length about the place, and wanted to see it for herself, but was too scared to go up there alone.
Kimmy arranged for the proposal to be a surprise, but Cami was able to figure out, but not completely why they might be going up there.
Cami was caught completely off guard
