A redesign for Ying from Mega Man X: Unit 49 .

14 years ago, Ying was some kind of spiritual-energy monk who used a staff, my favorite and most overpower Maverick Hunter. His current version is a sensorial support Reploid that suffers with his own uncontrollable ability, and his two swords are usually lend to his allies.

I wanted to change his color (since red isn't exactly a calm color) and make his armor more unique, as well as add at least one antennae to hint his sensors. However, I was really attached to his appearance and nothing worked in drawing and/or sprite until now. I based some of his armor parts in real chinese armor (specially his helmet) and used less vibrant colors. He doesn't have the blonde hair lock anymore (formerly, THREE of my characters had that same detail) but the visual impression still remains with his new helmet.
