Description
A capital of the crypt of the church of Saint Nicolas at Tavant (Dep. Indre et Loire, France), showing Christ's descent into hell, where he takes Adam and Eve by his hands to make them resurrect with him.PLEASE NOTE: This is not a photo of the original crypt, but of the copy shown at the "Musée de l’architecture et du Patrimoine" at Paris.
The copy was executed in 1941, the original was constructed in the 12th century.
