Okay! Now it makes a helluva lot more sense, and I can appreciate it on a much deeper level. It isn't cheesy at all either. I'm a big fan of symbolism and totems of all sorts, I think they're very important things. Symbols work in a direct and powerful way, reminding us of what we need to remember, evoking the mystical, and the personal. Very nice.

Alright then, this mole-esque dot tattoo idea style started when my girlfriend, Kristy got her first tattoo. She's wanted a tattoo for as long as she can remember, but was always having tattoo commitment anxiety. She and a friend came up with an idea of constellations made out of dots that look like moles. So she got Musca the fly and Grus the crane on her neck and forearm respectably. They look awesome.
So months later, I want a tattoo. I come up with an idea that is really meaningful to me and realize it is perfect for this dot mole theme.
So I'll explain the meaning...
Here goes, it might sound cheesy but it's really important to me: The lateral dot in this triangle represents myself, a dot on the medial side is the person I love, and the most distal dot is the point, which represents my beliefs, my goals, and my relationship with them. As the person I love and myself grow a closer relationship with our same beliefs in a deity, we in turn grow closer together. If there is an imbalance, the relationship will be skewed. This will remind me everyday to remember who I am and what my goals are, and to follow them If I am to be happy and have the closest relationship with my partner.
She got the same tattoo on her right forearm along with two more on the top of her feet. Volans the flying fish and Hydra the sea serpent. Our friend Kelly, also got Cancer the crab on her back. They all look awesome.

You could have told me that scar was a bite from some vicious animal. I would have believed you.

I removed the stitches myself! They got really itchy, and it was time anyway. It's healed up really well, which is sort of disappointing, because it's way smaller than it was and I wanted a bigger scar.
