So my dad is pretty much responsible for me being a Tolkien nerd. I was about 12 years old when he gave me a battered copy of "The Hobbit" from a secondhand book store. I was daunted by how long the book looked but my father assured me that it was one of his favorites and I would love it. He was totally right. So now, all these years later we can nerd about Tolkien's legendarium together.

(I'll admit that this was something of a rushed job. *eek* Deadlines, they do seem to come up fast. On a related note, does anyone else feel like they blinked and now June is over.)
