Keanu Reeves as Jonathan Harker in Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992) 🖤

I rewatched Bram Stoker's Dracula by Francis Ford Coppola as a treat for finishing my Dracula reread (since I'm writing about it as part of my dissertation)! I'm always the first person to say Dracula is kinda a bad book but it also has such a grip on me, I'm fascinated by it and I love picking it apart.

I honestly love Keanu Reeves as Jonathan Harker, bad acting and all 🖤🖤. He looks sooo good, I just had to try painting him! His acting is hilariously bad in this movie, my family could not stop laughing whilst we were watching it, but it just kinda ??? suits the vibes of Jonathan if you ask me???

I have a lot of complicated feelings about this adaptation, but it's visually exquisite! Eiko Ishioka does a phenomenal job on the costumes, they absolutely blow my mind away!
I love the artistry and visuals of this adaptation (and the perfect casting 😳) but there's also stuff I hate about it, like all the Dracula and Mina nonsense, the treatment of the female characters as a whole, and certain scenes I find ick 😭 but overall it's myfavourite Dracula adaptation!
