A long time ago, in the city of Berlin, there lived a lion who was actually a girl. Singa [or Sin for short] lived In Tierpark zoo In the outskirts of the city.
Many years earlier, when she was still a young girl in Africa, she was shot In the leg by a hunter. Later saved by an old Shaman, the man realized that Sin was a girl, better told a witch, with abilities to turn Into a male lion at pure will. He took pity on her and took care of her for many years, teaching her other aspects of benevolent witchcraft In the process. When Sin was seveenten years old, she decided to live on her on. After saying goodbye to his old teacher, she ran off Into the african wildlife and lived alone as a lion for some time, ocassionally going to visit her teacher during short periods of time.
However, on one of these occasions, Sin realized that her teacher had been killed, as his house was set on fire and burned to a crisp, his corpse laying not to far from his home, with a bullet going trough his right eye.
After burying his teacher, and making a little gravestone for him out of wood, Sin tried looking for anything valuable In the remains of the house, but the only thing she could find was an amber necklace with a spider Inside of It. Just as she was putting the necklace around her wrist, and quickly turned back Into a lion, a tranquilizer dart was shot at her by some civillians.
Sin lost consciousness and found herself some days later In a cage In Tierpark, Berlin. With no way to turn back into a girl during the day, as It would attract suspicion from everyday tourists, Sin spent the next couple of months as a lion, staying alert to any possible way to escape. However, during countless nights, Sin would turn back Into a girl and stay awake praying, as she believed praying for his teacher would help him reach a peacefull afterlife.
One of these nights however, Sin,s caretaker got distracted during a phone call while changing her water, and left her cage wide open. Taking the chance, Sin ran off and escaped from the zoo. While In the city, Sin got Into a nearby subway and, ignoring the confusing looks of countless people to see an adolescent wearing only a white, torn, dress, got on In the last subway of the night when no one was looking and feel asleep on one of the benches.
When Sin reached the final station and got out Into a closed alleyway, she was greeted by a gang of boys her age, who demanded some money In the process. When Sin politely refused, one of the boys pulled out a gun on her, threatening her if she didnt do what she was told. Angry and confused, Sin opened her mouth to complain, but a roar escaped her human lips instead, horrifying both her and the boys.
Covering her mouth in fear, Sin ran off while the gang chased after her, screaming "Witch" at full volume. Turning to her left, Sin tripped over and fell on her back, dislocating her shoulder, but loosing the gang in the process. Ignoring the excruciating pain that engulfed her, Sin was able to reach an iron gate, where she finally passed out, just as a shadowy figure kneeled towards her.
