We Are In Wolf's Rain!!!

Chapter 2-Freeze City

"Isa?! Isa!!" Nikki's voice ringed in Isa's ears, Then she jumped awake; "where are we?" She asked Nikki. "I dunno! But we are surely not at my house, and we certainly..don't..look like ourselves!" Nikki squeaked in fear. Isa's brown eyebrows furrowed as she tilted her head to the side in act if confusion, "w-what do you mean?" She suddenly realized it when she looked at Nikki, her chocolate brown eyes had grown, her nose was tiny and she seemed so cartoonish..Isa and her best friend turned into anime characters. Isa let out a shriek of surprise. "How the hell did this happen?! Where are we?!" Isa looked at Nikki as she pointed to the wall of the city they were next too..Freeze City, Isa's eyes widened, this couldn't be, this wasn't possible, how could two teenage girls end up in Wolf's Rain?! "This must be some kind of sick prank!" Isa said as she stumbled backwards, "Well it seems pretty real to me! Wait, don't freak out, that's the worst you can do. If we are here, could we be..wolves?" Nikki stuttered, "It could be, should we try? I mean, don't you notice a sweet flowerish scent? It Cheza! We are in the first episode! And if we smell her, we must be wolves!" Isa turned to Nikki, but instead of her friend, there stood a dark Black colored wolf, with White tips in its ears,chest and tail, with piercing amber eyes and a diamond necklace around her neck..just like Nikki's! "I think it worked" said the wolf in Nikki's voice. Isa stared at her in shock, "If I can understand you, then I must be a wolf too!". And with that, Isa turned into a Brown colored wolf with a white underbelly and her Spanish necklace around her neck "this feels so weird..and amazing!!" The friends quickly shifted back to their human forms. " Lets go find Kiba!!" Nikki started to run off, but Isa grabbed her arm. "Nikki this is serious, this is not like watching the anime in my iPad, we could get shot or killed! Plus, with Tsume around..." Isa's voice trailed off, Nikki just snickered "Awe, don't be such a party pooper Isa, using this what we always dreamed? Get a away from that nasty hellhole and escape to one of our anime worlds?" Isa sniffed, "I miss my parents though..I wonder if they're looking for us" Nikki kneeled down next to her best friend. "look, I miss mom and dad too, but we can't stay here moping around all day when we can meet the guys of our dreams! You would meet Kiba, I would meet Toboe.." Isa's eyes lightened up and a goofy grin spread across her face, "Now we're talking!" She giggled and stood up following Nikki into the dome.

"Gee, this looks sadder in real life" admitted Nikki as they walked through the city, they could see the people looking at them with miserable faces, most of them looking at Nikki's diamond necklace. Nikki touched her necklace uncomfortably, "We should follow Cheza's scent and find the pack" answered Isa. Nikki started to get really uncomfortable, "Nikki are you okay?" Asked Isa, "No, I got a bad feeling..as if something bad were going to happen" Isa frowned, "yeah I'm getting that feeling too, and I don't know why but I smell something, alcohol...rum, and something tells me the smell following it is a dog..or a wolf" Nikki shivered, "you don't think it could be-" Nikki's sentence was cut off by a gunshot. The girls looked back to see a drunk man lead by a black dog with piercing blue eyes..the girls only shouted one word as the man raised his gun; "RUN!!!" More gunshots were heard, but no one to help the poor friends since they were in an alley, the girls ran for their lives, unaware of the red wolf that was watching them from the roof tops, listening to their yelps. "Nikki do something!!" Yelled Isa, Nikki glared at her as they ran, gunshots behind them, "why me?!" Cuz you are the creative one!!" I can't think!!" Do you wanna get killed?!" It's not my fault we forgot about HIM!!" Nikki!!" Okay, I got something!!" The red wolf watched as Nikki snatched an oil can from a gas station they passed and spilled the oil on a sharp turn, just when the man turned, the oil made him slip! Nikki roared with laughter, "SCORE!!" She shouted back at the man, he only answered with an angry yelp. Nikki high fived her best friend as they jumped over the roof tops, still unaware of the red wolf. The she-wolves slowed down their pace and giggled hysterically. "That was genius!" Cried Isa between laughter, "why thank you!" Answered Nikki bowing sarcastically, the red wolf giggled silently, those girls were obviously wolves, and probably his age! "We need to be more careful, I lost track of the scent!" Isa stated, "Yeah, and now we've got Quent Yaiden at our backs" murmured Nikki, "Nikki, don't let your guard down, suddenly I feel something's following us, it's not Quent and Blue, it smells..different". The red wolf shivered, he knew the Brown colored she-wolf had smelled him, but he still kept following them, "Yeah, I smell it too, hey I'm starving, we should get something to eat, good thing I brought my dollars" answered Nikki. 'What are..dollars?' Thought the red wolf. "Nikki, dollars don't work here, remember?" Nikki frowned and nodded. Suddenly, Isa jumped back and attacked their stalker, the wolf didn't even fight back! "ISA!! GET OFF HIM!!" Isa suddenly realized who she was attacking when she saw the silver bracelets on his right arm, she turned back into human, "oops! Sorry, I thought you were that maniac dog who attacked us!" Nikki glared daggers at her best friend as she walked towards the red wolf, smiling gently. "It's okay, don't mind my friend, she can be violent sometimes" HEY!" Retorted Isa, "My name is Nikki, that's Isa" the red wolf relaxed his tense body. "I-I'm Toboe" he said shyly, he was blushing a light pink, Nikki clenched her teeth trying to not let out a Fangirl scream. She blushed cutely, " Um..sorry if I'm interrupting your gazing into each others eyes but we must get outta here, that creep and his dog are on our heels now.." Toboe's blush darkened. He was just so lost in Nikki's eyes, they reminded him of chocolate, so warm and sweet, he felt like he could trust her "You are wolves! I've never seen other wolves before, other than myself and Tsume, where are you from? I haven't seen you around.." Nikki looked at Isa then said: "We're from Toronto, it's really far from here" Toboe's eyes gleamed with curiosity. "Never heard of that place before, so do you have an owner or something?" He asked, "Um, no, we just got here, and we don't have a place to stay". Toboe's eyes gleamed and an a breath taking grin spread across his face, "I know we just met, but you could stay at my place if you want!" Nikki and Isa traded looks, Nikki's eyes full of plead, Isa just rolled her eyes and smiled at Toboe, "If you insist! Ok!" Great! Follow me!" He said gesturing Nikki and Isa to follow him. "Ohmygosh!! Isa I'm fangirlingggg!!!" Isa just rolled her eyes and giggled, Toboe kept staring at Nikki, who's face was about 50 shades of red. Toboe led the friends towards an abandoned house at an alley. "Here we are, sorry if it's too dusty, haven't cleaned up this place in years!" Isa and Nikki giggled as Toboe led them to a huge queen sized bed, the girls drifted off into a deep slumber.
