I'm sorry...I just HAD to do this
For those who might not get it...
Voice Actor Dante Basco = both Jake Long and Prince Zuko
Voice Actor Mae Whitman = both Rose and Katara.
And after watching both cartoons, you can see situational coincidences that are just plain funny.
(Avatar is owned by Nickelodeon, Jake Long is owned by Disney)
EDIT 7/17/2006 : not exactly avatar related but I noticed disney channel decided to pull a fast one and change the cartoon style of Jake Long.

Lol I didn't really think about this cartoon at all, I watched it though for a while and realized Disney didn't really take time to make it very good XPP

i thought it was his real dad and jake and haley looked asian because asian-ness is a dominant trait...like jon and kate plus 8, kate isnt asian at all but her kids sure look full asian. Just my guess though. Very good pic btw,it made me lol!

Actually Zuko and Katara, Jake and Rose weren't the ones that got me shipping you (it was quite the reverse effect actully) so you have on one but yourselves to blame!

Although I was/am not a big fan of the show, I was very disappointed when I saw the changes the AD: JL people made to Jake's design. I've noticed that while the old Jake Long was short in dragon form, he was muscular and well-built. But now, what the taller Jake Long makes up for in height, he lacks in build once he is in his dragon form.
To some fans who don't pay attention, it may seem cute because he might have a better chance at Rose now that he's taller, but in my opinion, it was a bad move. Even the Grandfather's design seems botched! His previous dragon seemed more streamlined and although he was older and frailer than his pupil, his dragon was nicely designed. Now, it seems that they were trying too hard to make the Grandfather look exactly like his dragon, and when they did that, they made him look like a balloon atop of a snakes body.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, either watch the show's old and more recent episodes, or look it up on Google or some other internet search engine.

I really hated the new character designs. It just didn't look right to me. I COMPLETELY understand about dragon forms. THey made more sense and more realistic in the original version. And about Jake's height, girls are sUPPOSED to be taller around that age. I'm taller than 80% of the guys in my whole grade (5'10") and that's normal.

Am I the only one that notices the disturbing change that the AM: JL people made to the Grandfather's dragon form? Recently, his head looks far less proportionate to the rest of his body; it's disgusting!

Wow! I thought I was the only one who knew that! Well, you're just the person to draw this. It was in my mind, but unfortunately I stink like #$%! when it comes to drawing so, better you than I to put this quirky idea to life. Kudos. It's a shame that I didn't notice this sooner.
