EDIT: Where the hell are the Ninja Wizards? Answer me.
According to Boromir's very own words: "Oh man, that would be so frickin' AWESOME!" So...here's our man showing us how it's done!
Totally inspired by the Lord of the Rings gif > [link]
This was mainly a digital painting study, with emphasis on "painting". Took me several days to finish, most of the time though was finding a good painterly appearance, by studying Monet, Sargent, and Michael Kutsche. Still getting there, but it seems the right way to go further
So, compleely done in Painter 11, some adjustments in Photoshop.
Tell me what you people think of it okay?

I see you requested critique on this work...
Though I'm not a critiquer I give it a try... XP;
Because it is so epic, haha XD
I really love how you did in a very realistic style despite the fun-factor of it, it is just SOOO off that makes people go like "WTF?!" and makes them wanna know more. And just..really..it's COOL that you put so much effort into sth like "just fun", I find it great!
As for the picture...
The composition is perfect, shows the epicness of Boromir's idea XD
I also really like the painting style, how you can see the brush strokes, it makes it looks fresh. :3
Some parts of the sky is a bit strange though because of those brush strokes where they don't blend in the picture and just looks like...separated...brush strokes..and not part of the picture (like behind the tree behind the right laser-bear). On the left side of that tree I really REALLY like how you did the background, it's very smooths and nice detail of the picture, perfectly blends in. :3
I like the colours too and the light settings also adds to "teh epicness". XD
However maybe it would be nice to have less highlights ("reflects", right?) on the darker areas, that a bit seems too much for me and takes away from the nice contrast what you create with the direct light source from the right.
But other than that it really is a great piece 8and also hilarious XDDDD), keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.
