Left 4 dead 2 © ValveMud covered zombies yay. Spitter’s acid works weird, ‘cause it hurts only the survivors, never other infected.

or it could be that the spitter's acid only harms living non-infected tissue while other zombies are immune cuz their infected tissue is non-living
