According to the common monster-movie-rules it must work: The hero can touch and handle every 25000 volts powerline without hurting himself... provided the guy on the pole is really one of the heroes and not only some poor, nameless guy that was only throw in as a victim

Is no one here familar with typical trouble-shooting in monster-movies? Streetlight = Electricity. Climb up the pole and try to loose one of the powerlines, throw it down... ZZZZAAAPPP!!
