Description
For more information on the Rangers Division, please check out their page [HERE ]
- T1 & T2 | Towers
- The main guard towers. They are high off the ground with safety measures to make sure the undead cannot get up them.
- Similar to fire towers. They have a sort of 'living' quarters at the top with a balcony that wraps around completely.
- They're tall enough to see over the trees and forests.
- Someone is always in them. There is a rotation - 12 hour shifts.
- 1 | Main Building
- The main building houses most of the faction's storage along with the dining hall, kitchen, meeting rooms and the offices.
- It is solar powered so they are never really without power except during the darker months. However they have other ways of getting power.
- Water-powered generators are also around and use the current of the river nearby to keep them sustained.
- Matthias' office is really the only one used as an office anymore while the others are used to store supplies, weapons and goods.
- The dining hall is to the back on the extension of the main building. It has a dining hall big enough for the whole faction and a kitchen big enough to feed them all.
- The pantry is kept stocked as they can as well as the freezers and fridges.
- 2 | Pond + Cleaning Stations
- Overall they keep the pond fairly stocked with fish if they need. It has a few different types that they take from the river to breed or from their own stock in the lake out in the thicket.
- The Cleaning stations are there for hunts and fish. They do everything from cleaning the kills to preparing the hides for leather works. They also clean the fish and prepare meat there when the kitchen is too busy.
- There is usually always hides and skins out drying.
- One of the wagons is kept nearby in case they have to go on a trip.
- 3 | Housing + Matthias' Cabin
- The housing here is made up of apartment-like rooms. They each have a living space, bedroom and closet. They have storage as well but overall they have a community bathroom and shower on each floor.
- These house the Rangers, Keepers and those who work in the kitchen.
- They have power as well. Each room has a lock and the buildings themselves are heavily protected with bars on the windows just in case.
- They can be shifted open if you wish to open the window though. Just have to unlock it.
- To the right of them all is a small cabin. This is Matthias' home.
- He has a two bedroom cabin with a full kitchen, living space and his own bathroom. He also has a rather large greenhouse connected to the backside where he grows plants for the faction as well as himself.
- 4 | Hay Field
- The hay field is primarily used for hay and grain for the livestock and animals in the winter months so they have food however they can sometimes use it to grow other things if they absolutely need.
- It's usually got hay bales in it and stored there as well until it starts to get too cold and they have to bring it all inside.
- 5 | Main Gate Station
- The main gate station is the guard's box who guards the gate. Since the faction has power, they're able to control it electrically but if they have to, they can hit the failsafe and lock it in place. Only unlocked and opened manually.
- The building is reinforced with bars on the windows and a heavy metal door.
- It's almost impossible to get into and the gate itself is a heavy duty metal gate attached to a very high and sturdy stone wall that goes all around the faction except in the back.
- The high fences in the back are 8ft tall and meant to keep animals in and also out. It has been reinforced by the faction after the fall to have razor wire as well as barricades on the outside just in case something gets a bit testy and tries to get in.
- 6 | Housing + Round Pen
- Another set of housing similar to the first.
- This group of buildings houses the Hunters and the Keepers of the faction.
- They have a similar layout with apartment-like rooms and the community bathroom and showers on each floor.
- The Round pen is used to keep the working horses/mules going even when they're not being used. It's also used to cool off the horses after a long trip.
- In desperate times, it can also be used to house animals if they need to.
- 7 | Gardens
- The gardens are used mostly year-round until the snow is too much and the plants cannot survive.
- They're used to grow veggies, fruits and herbs so that they can have stuff for the rest of the year. During the year when it's too cold, a good portion of the supplies are grown in the greenhouse at Matthias' cabin.
- 8 | Pastures
- These pastures are used for the faction's mounts.
- The horses, mules and donkeys are usually kept here while the smaller fence can hold some of the more..interesting ones like buffalo, cattle and other things.
- They have their own water troughs that are kept fresh weekly and are heated during the winter to keep them from freezing.
- A good portion of the horses/mules/donkeys are kept in the pastures during the warmer months and then brought in during the colder months.
- 9 | Tack Room + Feed House
- For the most part, the tack room holds all of the tack and supplies for the faction along with the wagon gear as well. If it gets too full, there are smaller tack rooms in the stables to hold the items.
- The other side (on the right) is the feed house. It houses all of the feed, grain and hay for the livestock and the horses along with the dogs and other animals they have there.
- Both are accessable by most members.
- 10 | Stables
- The stables house the faction's mounts. Mostly the horses and some of the more 'aggressive' animals that cannot be housed with others.
- It also is where most of the stallions are kept if the mares are out in the pasture. [They are switched out every other day]
- The stables have large stalls and can house 11 horses at a time or 22 if the stalls are shifted around and split. Their walls can be moved and shifted around to house more horses at once but the main set up is 11 larger stalls vs 22 smaller stalls [in a desperate situation].
- Each barn has a washroom as well as a small tack area on the end. The tack rooms house mostly Matthias' gear as well as the council's gear itself. The actual tack room [#9] holds most of the rest of the faction's gear.
- The barns have electricity and are heated when needed. They have heavy security as well.
- The gates to the stalls can be completely closed off or the tops can be open to allow the horses to stick their necks out.
- Each stall has a window as well
- 11 | Pastures
- The pastures here are used for livestock. It holds cattle, sheep and goats along with bison and other animals that are used for food. In the futher pastures [not shown on the map] Some wild animals are kept as well like a herd of deer, caribou and some elk as well.
- These pastures are sometimes shifted out and the animals can be moved around.
- Like the other pasture, this set also has their own water troughs that are heated during the winter to keep them from freezing.
