Description
What got me through autumncouldn’t live with the winter.
I had to learn to breathe.
In those icy cold December moments,
you warmed yourself on her, not me.
In January’s embrace, I danced
until a warm and quiet May.
In June, I discovered life again,
stuffing scarecrows full of hay.
In just five days, it will be three years.
I’ll never forget your face
And though I still am shedding tears
It’s not as lonely as that place.
