this is my current desktop- ruinedinc's new minisuite. it's a shame that they don't post it here at DA.It's also a request for help. i've posted a thread in the xp section of the forums hoping that someone may know the answer to this.as you can see- at the top of my start menu the "dave's xp" is not centered as it should be and i cannot put a user picture there. i have tried re-installing xp, same thing. it's not my copy of xp, because i have installed it on my other machine and it is fine. anyone ever hear of this? anyone know any fix for it? i'd appreciate any help. its not a big thing but it bugs me.

My experience with the pictures is that only users created in XP get pics... anyone inherited through the process of upgrading from 2k doesn't seem to get a pic and I can't figure out how to give them one either. Eg, if they show up on the logon page they get a picture, but if you have to go to old school 2k-style login to log them in, no pic. That sounds like it's not your situation, but who knows!

very nice looking shot there. it is a shame that ruinedinc does not display there work here. guess that is their choice though. all because of that little battle between matt and them.

yeah xp has a system restore- but its always been like this. i just recently reinstalled xp. display settings dont affect start menu settings. thanx though.

Look at your display settings. Does XP have a system restore?

i'm using blueprint and mine looks about the same... it's aligned to the left... no user picture either, but i don't have one defined for myself. is it really that important?
