Just messing around with a Starfleet uniform concept. I wanted to combine the regal military feel of the Wrath of Khan uniform with some more practical aspects. As a result, I ended up with a double-breasted design that opens up like a typical jacket, but can be held closed by two clasps. The division colors are easily visible regardless of whether the jacket is closed, half closed or open, and the silver detailing is all reflective (since the lights on starships have a nasty habit of going out if you so much as look at them funny.) Not sure where I'd put the rank insignia -- probably on the clasp by the left shoulder, but maybe on the right upper arm as well. Most importantly, I wanted the jacket to be something that officers would actually want to wear, making sure it looked good and would feel comfortable whether it was fully closed or completely open.

I'll probably do a better rendering of it at some point, this was really just hashed together in Illustrator and Photoshop in about an hour.
