Rather chuffed with yourself, you continue on your journey. For quite some time, the passages nothing exceptionally interesting. A sense of boredom barely has a chance to set in, however, when you notice a pile of rodent skulls lying in the corner of a cavern chamber. The empty eye sockets seem to glow and blink, growing ever more fervent the longer you look, until the bony mass rises up and rushes toward you. The movement forces you to blink in surprise and when you open your eyes again, the bones are dark and still once more. The dust is so thick atop the skulls that it’s clear they’ve not been touched nor moved in many long years.

What the hell was that? For a second, the bones had animated and danced, but when he looked back, there was no monster.
