So yeah, I wanted to make Book a kitsune and Remote a chamrosh for this au, but I saw a speedpaint so I changed things up a little.
I probably make their human forms when I practice drawing humans.
Let's start with my favorite contestant from this series: Remote!

Remote has 3 tails, She isn't as powerful as common kitsune species but she can still shape-shift or transform her forms. (Mostly in human style) her first form is her normal form as an object or human depending on the scenario. In the human universe she is part robot and her normal form she looks normal but still having the ears and tails. In her second form (Also called paw form), she still looks normal but having paw hands and feet, she usually prefers her normal phase because in her second phase, (headcannonly in this au) her paw feet are more ticklish than her human feet. In her third form is called beast form, she turns into anthro like fox a little bit similar of a werewolf, in this form she is a bit more aggressive than the rest of her other forms but can calm down after a while. Get final form is feral form where she fully turns into a fox, she can transform into the different forms at will. It's unknown if she can use kitsune fire or not but can attack but I'm not going to explain cuz this will be very long. I'll think of other headcannons later for the contestants...
At first she panics about this by after some comforting and trying to get used to the new body, she finds it ok though still sometimes a little embarrassed. (Fun Fact and spoiler alert: Remote was second to transform into a mythical creature, the first being Liy, btw which we will mention next time.)

Book is an owl girl, a great horned owl Specifically. She has tufted feathers that look like ears or horns. She can be depicted with talons of an owl, she can even turn into a normal owl at will. Since she's an owl, she often loves to stay awake overnight with no regrets and she also has better vision in the dark. She can even spin her head around which freaks quite a few monster contestants out a little. Though she can fly, she prefers to stay on the ground like some of the contestants. Her sharp talons help her keep ground. At first she finds this form very odd and out of place business and she still does but she's getting quite used to it and is still taking care of Ice Cube and befriending Taco. Whenever she is very angry or extremely stressed out, her feathers go all puffy. Sometimes her tufts will act like ears. Headcannon: Ice Cube often snuggles on Book's fluffy stomach which tickles Book a bit.
Reason for choice: since owls are smart and so is book, I thought it would fit!
