-- BROADCAST LIVE! --

Jury: Alright! On today's episode of SRA Live, Holiday traditions! First off are any of you going home for the holidays?

Abby: CHRISTMASUUU?!! Did you you just say Christmas traditions Jury Kaichou? Let me tell you something unique and weird about my culture's Christmas. We start celebrating the occasion in the month of September. What's Halloween? No it's actually Christmas preparation month with spooky decorations on the side for October. November is the forgotten month where everyone is just antsy to get it over with and let everyone know Christmas is right around the corner! Then when the month of December comes... We're all fed up hearing Christmas carols that hearing the first lyrics of '12 days of Christmas' will set us off.

Lin:…...….........that's .... That's wow.

Sora: You already start christmas preparation during halloween? That's surprising!

At my home christmas is a very important holiday. At the end of november/start of december we start to decorate everything. Christmas I will mainly spent with my family, eating christmas turkey, exchanging presents, playing games, watching tv and so on. Sometimes relatives comes to visit.
We also love to sing christmas carols! It's very fun!
I wonder if we would set you off Abby ... (looks worried)

Abby: oh no no no Sora-chin. I LOOOVE singing Christmas carols! My whole family has this Christmas tradition where every member of the family are expected to sing them during family reunions too. But I guess it's probably because I feel a bit of culture shook at the mo since me and my fam just moved here from the Philippines.

Ahem ahem, chotto matte, wait wait. Can I tell you guys a little story, ah not really little but if you guys want me to shut up just duct tape my mouth or something Lol! But anyways, it was September when we first landed in Japan right. But before that, Me, my bro, ma and dad had to wait for our flight in my country's airport terminal which plays Christmas songs over and over...yes during September... And when we finally landed in Japan, me and my lil bro were shouting repeatedly 'there's no Christmas songs!'. We look like a bunch of crazies and my I remembered my mom calling us stupid too. Don't worry mom I love you too. Hahaha

Erina: Christmas?! Ooooooh I just LOVE Christmas. Since it's one of few times my dad isn't busy with work we spend the month together. First we'd go to town square look at the pretty decorations and go ice skating. Next we'd bake gingerbread men, his would come out all burnt though. Oh, and on Christmas Eve he'd dressed as Santa and I'd have to catch him before he put the presents under the tree.

Jury: y'all've got some interesting traditions. My mom's from the states but we usually have our Christmas in early December, that way we can fly out to see my grandparents and be back in time for New years here with my dad's parents.

Kimi: My parents are also home for the holidays for a change, so we're going to be making a roast and toffee. We don't have many traditions, we go shopping the day after Christmas and then kind of... chill after. We play video games and video chat with my mum's parents!

Sora: Everyone's traditions sound so fun! Let's sing some christmas songs together later.
And ice skating? I never went before. It sounds so interesting. Maybe we could go together during the holiday?
Speaking of food...
What is everyone's favorite christmas food?
I love christmas cookies! They can be cut into a lot of different cute shapes. I always have so much fun making them!

Lin: I agree. hearing all of your family Christmas traditions seems a lot of fun. Just imagining it brings a smile on my face.... Me and my father really don't have one since he's busy all the time but I do make an effort to celebrate the occasion by making this home brew chocolat chuad  i found in the internet. It tastes great! Not as great as the ones I tasted back in La Charlotte de l’Isle in Paris but I'm rather proud with my effort.

Kimi: Oooh, that all sounds very good. We make these little meat pies as well as stiry fry, it's all really good! Of course we also make cookies, and little brownies. We add a lotta sprinkles to the cookies, they're just regular sugar cookies otherwise.

Jury: Maybe we should have a holiday party for the club! It could be fun to try everyone's traditions and stuff. I can never say no to treats!

Erina: But how are we gonna fit a ice skating ring into the club room?

Jury: Oh ya.... Well! The floors are wood so we could slide around in our socks!

Abby: wait hold up, did I hear wrong or did I just interpret it wrong but did Chorin just admit spending Christmas alone with only Choco that something macall it!?

Lin: it's called Chocolat chuad. It's hot chocolate if you-

Abby: yeah that. Without cookies and brownies on the side too! Can you imagine that Kimi-chan? I legit want to taste both now.

Lin: cough, don't be rude Abs. I wouldn't want to impose on Kimi-san's time-

Abby: AND A PARTY! I vote for having a Christmas slumber party in Lin's room!

Lin: WHAT?! What makes you thi-

(Audience hears a shuffing)

Lin: get off me or I swear I'll push you out of the chair! Merde!

(Shuffling is still heard throughout the audio)

Abby: rude! I'm not that heavy! Plus, I doubt you can cook any Christmas food over the break and that solves our problem with having a party right Jury Kaichou?

Sora: Does that mean we will have an ice skating party in Lin's room? It sounds fun!

Kimi: Ahah, it's alright Lin, I wouldn't mind. It does sound like something I'd love to try. An ice skating party also sounds super fun! But only if Lin is okay with it, of course.

(Shuffling stops, loud bang heard)

Abby: Woah. Ouch!

Lin: Miss Sora! I mean yes i currently live alone and we probably wouldn't interrupt someone unless SRA's dormitories has thin walls but skating with our socks?

Abby: Don't be such a sour puss Chorin. Thanks for hurling me on the floor by the way.

Lin: Shut it, Torres.... cough... sorry anyways... Thank you Miss Kimi, learning how to bake with you sounds lovely.

Abby: Bake these nut---SLAM Ouch! kidding, kidding.. Jesus.

(Sound of Slapping upside the head)

Erina: Nuts? What type of baking recipes with nuts did you have in mind? Oh, I know this good peanut butter cookie recipe we could try.

Sora: How about we try to put something on the floor to make it extra slippery? It might really become like an ice rink! (looks at lin unsure) Unless, you don't want your room to become an ice rink ... ?
And baking sounds awesome ! Maybe we can borrow the school's kitchen?

Lin: ehem... do you have any recommendations Miss Erina? Please don't mind Abby. I suspected she was dropped when she was a baby.

Abby: hey!

Lin: I don't understand the concept behind making an ice rink in the dormitory. Is that some sort of japanese Christmas tradition or something? I don't mind doing it, I just don't get the reason behind it.

Abby: just say yes.

Sora: I don't think it's a japanese tradition ... (wonders) But! I think it would be fun! How about we make it into our very own japanese tradition?
Ano

Kimi: It's not really a japanese tradition, per se, but it's a winter activity that a lot of people like to do. Making an ice rink in your room saves some time so one doesn't have to go out to an ice rink or pond. (laughs) Certainly less risk of falling into water in the room.

Lin: sigh.... Fine. If you guys put it that way, then yes. I would be happy to lend my room for the impromptu Christmas celebration. However, I have two requirements. Firstly, we should abide by house dormitory rules, that means minimizing our noise to my room only and cleaning up afterwards. That also means, no permanent vandalism and over obstacles that will potentially harm any of us.

Abby: oof, way to suck up all the fun there Chorin.

Lin: SECONDLY. As stated before, I want to clean whatever mess we make in my room afterwards. A clean environment is a healthy environment after all.

Abby: hell yeah! That means party in Chorin's room! Party all night party all niiiight 🎶

Sora: Awesome! (already starts to celebrate as lin suddenly starts to list off rules) Eeeh ... Let's not worry too much about the cleaning until after the party. 🎶 I'm sure everything will work out! ✨

Lin: ok before any conversations about making my own room into a venue of a party continues, shall we end this stream Miss Jury?

Jury: Huh? Wha? Sorry I was looking at ways to turn a class room into an ice skating rink! That concludes this broadcast! Tune in next time!!
