Description
I did this in my Art 2 class during my Sophomore year of high school.
It was done with a gray scale chart.
I found a picture online of Elizabeth Taylor and drew 1 inch boxes on it to make a grid, then I doubled the size of the boxes to make a larger grid for a larger picture.
Then I separated the colors of her face, like a color by number picture. And then free hand drew the rest.

It was done with regular tempera paints.
