Description With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them.  And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”

-Revelation 21:4

Armageddon has come and gone, and many faithful followers of Jehovah have made it through the great tribulation. Amiunf those followers were Ica and Zephyr Frollo, Liam and Lauren Bucksaplenty-Finch, Nessie and Maverik McFarland, and Eli and Emory Deslauriers. They now get to enjoy life as Jehovah had meant it to be, on a paradise earth living forever. Soon, they would be welcoming back their loved ones, whom they had lost in death. And it would be something amazing.

***

“Hey Mum!” Called Zephyr, waving a hand high over his head. “Where should I put these at?” Is ran over to her son who was carrying an arm full of logs.

“Hmm, maybe we can use those for the tree house!” Said Ica, excitement growing as she pictured the tree house coming together in her mind.

Zephyr chickled. “Okay, but remember we have to make our tree house look different from sister Gurrerier’s. That was the one thing she was looking forward to building in the new system. And now she finally gets too.”

“Don’t worry, we an help build hers too, and make it every bit as wonderful as she wanted.”

Zephyr smiled. “That sounds like a plan to me.” As he set the logs down he felt paws plant themselves firmly on his back. He stumbled a bit and turned around to see what had pushed him. When he looked down, he saw the narrow fluffy face of a red fox. It’s yellow eyes full of innocence and curiosity. “Hi little guy.” Said Zephyr bending down to stroke his head. The fox pushed himself into Zephyr, knocking him on his backside and began licking his face. He laughed, enjoying the affection of the docile creature.

“Zephie, I think you’ve got a new friend.” Said Ica, bending down to rub the fox’s white belly.

“Hey, I guess I do.”

After the fox was done so a king up the attention from Ica and her son, the fox got up and , picked both of them on the face as if to say, ‘good bye for now.’ Then he trotted away over the grassy hill. Ica and Zephyr watched him go with smiles on their faces.

“I’m so happy that we have peace with the animals now.” Said Ica. “It was one of the things I was most looking forward too.”

Just then something caught Ica’s attention. Someone was standing in the distance on top of the hill where the fox had disappeared to. Zephyr followed his mother’s gaze. The person she saw started making his or her way down the hill. As the person got closer, she realised that it was a man. When he stopped, he was only a couple feet away from him. A smiles crept across his slender face and Ica’s hazel eyes widened.

“Claude?” She whispered almost to herself. His smile broadened.

“Hello Ica. Hello Zephyr.” He said tenderly.

Happy tears filled Ica’s eyes and she made a mad dash for him. “CLAUDE!”

She threw herself into her ressurcted arms, squeezing him tight. He held her just as tightly rocking her back and fourth. She finally let him go and peered at him. He was no longer the gray haired, aged man she had met when she had fallen in love with him, but vibrant and full of life. His skin was smooth and free of wrinkles, and his auburn brown hair was full and thick, his bangs falling perfectly over his forehead and his curled sideburns laying neatly behind his ears. She grinned and ran her hands through it. And his dark gray eyes sparkled when he looked at her.  He was still the man she loved, just much younger. His wife stroked his face, joyful tears still glittering in her large hazel eyes.

“I’ve missed you.” She murmured. “I’m so happy you are back, my amazing, wonderful, husband. She took his face, his young handsome face in her hands and kissed him softly. He smiled through the kiss and kissed her back. Then he put his hands around her waist and lifted her high above his head. Ica squealed with joy. When he out her down, they were hit with so much force that they tumbled to the ground.

“Papá! Papá!” It was his son, his arms wrapped firmly around him as tears of elation pooled in his bright green eyes. “I missed you so much.”

Though Zephyr was a grown man, in that instance, Zephyr was like the five year boy that his father would tuck in at night and hold when he was scared. Except, he wasn’t scared, he was just glad to see his father, knowing that he would never ever lose him again.Claude looked down at his son in his arms. “My son, look at you.” He said softly as he cupped his face in his hands. My perfect young man.”

Zephyr chuckled, wiping the tears from his eyes. “Papá, look at you. You are so young!” His son toouched his face then his hair. Then he squeezed the muscles in his arms. “And I think you are probably much stronger now too.” Claude huffed a laugh and ruffled his wavy brown hair just like he used to do when he was little. The Frollos sat up in the grass, just soaking in the sun as well as the resurrection of their husband and father.

“So Papá, now that your here, you can help us with the house.” Said Zephyr standing up.

“Oh, so you are putting me to work already?” He said, humor tinting his voice.

“Hey, you’re young now and perfect. You can handle all the manual labor.” Ica laughed and covered her mouth.

He chuckled. “Okay, fair enough. Where should I start?”

After making some head way on their new home, the Frollos were becoming thirsty and soon decided to stop and get something to drink.

“Hey Papá, come try the book water, it’s really refreshing.” Said Zephyr.

“Yeah! Now we can actually drink it and not worry if there is stuff in there that will make us sick!”   Chimed Ica.

Claude stood up and wiped his sweaty bros. “Well, that sounds like something I’m interested in. Lead the way.”

Together the three of them made their way through the clearing and down to the small bubbling brook. The cool pristine water glitter and the bright sunlight.

Suddenly Claude felt his wife give him a firm tap on the back. “Race ya!” She took if toward the brook laughing.

“Oh no you don't!” Yipped Zephyr laughing as he took off after his mother.

Claude, temporarily stunned watched his son and wife raving toward the water. The a smirk crept onto his handsome face. He tire after them, his new young legs carrying him swiftly toward his family as he closed the gap between them. In no time he ad caught up to them. Ica looked over her shoulder amazed that he had caught up so quickly. He grabbed hold of her and hoisted her into his arms. She laughed and squealed but he held her tight. While is parents were occupied Zephyr blew passed them and splashed into the brook.

“I win!” Cheered Zephyr. Claude and Ica lookevt their son standing there triumphantly grinning at them. Then they looked back at eachother and guffawed.

“I can finally keep up with you, crazy girl.” Said Claude as he put her down.

“Yeah…,” she laughed. “And I’m not used to it.” Ica peered at her husband, and he gazed back at her affectionately. “I love you Claude. And it’s going to take me a little bit of time to get used to this young perfect body of yours.” She threw him a coy smile.

Claude took her his arms and rubbed noses with her. “Well, take all the time you need. We have forever.” He whispered. He kissed his wife softly and she smiled through this kiss, enjoying his affection until they get cold water sprinkle over them, forcing them to break apart. Turning their direction back toward the brook, they saw their son wiping the water from his mouth smugly.

“I thought we came her to get a drink of water.”  He teased.

His parents laughed and let go, of each other, then made their way over to the edge of the brook. When their thirst was quenched, the Frollos made their way back to continue the construction of their home.

“Why don't we take a break from the main house and start the tree house.” Suggested Ica.

“Sounds like a plan to me!” Agreed Zephyr. Pretty soon the Frollo had most of the base of the treehouse put together. “Hey Papá, where do you think the mirror should go?”

Claude took the mirror from his son and held it up in the air in front of the tree house, trying to eyeball a good spot for it. As he was holding it, he caught a glimpse of his reflection. His dark gray eyes widened in surprise. It was the first time he was seeing himself since being resurrected. He turned his head to the left then to the right, up the down. “Told you you were handsome.” Said Ica walking up behind him and warping her arms around him.

”What, oh, well, it’s just that…” Stammered Claude.

Ica giggled. “It’s okay to admit that you look good, my wily young man.”

Zephyr laughed and threw an arm around each of his parents and they all gazed at themselves in the mirror. Their perfect, happy, family of three. “I think I know where I want to put it now.” Said Claude. “Right here at the entrance.”

“I think that’s the perfect spot.” Agreed Ica.

“Alright, I’ll start getting this up.” Claude set the mirror gently down on the ground and reached for the hammer.

“Okay, we’ll start on the windows. Come on peanut…” Ica stopped and caught herself. And gave her son a wry smile. “Well I guess you aren’t really a peanut anymore…but you are still my baby…no matter how perfect you are. Right Claude?” Her husband nodded then winked in his son’s direction.

Zephyr smiled and shook his head. “I guess that’s fair.”

By the time Claude had gotten the mirror up, his son and wife were still inside working on the treehouse windows. He dusted his hands off and stood back to admire his handy work. Realizing there was a smudge, he grabbed a cloth hand gently wiped it away. When he glanced back in the mirror, he noticed three people making their way down the hill and toward where he and his family were working. To Claude, there was something familiar about them. It looked like a woman, a man, and a young boy. As they got closer and closer he saw the boy pointing excitedly at the tree house. Tearing his gaze away from the reflection, he whipped his head around to get a better look.

Is that? Claude rubbed his eyes to make sure he was seeing everything correctly. “Clement?” He said to himself. By now the boy was running, eager to see the treehouse. The man and woman quickened their pace. Before long the three of them halted, standing just feet away from him. Claude’s breath caught in his throat. The woman bright blue eyes, dark reddish hair that cascaded around her shoulders and beautiful features. The man standing next to her had brunette wavy hair, a strong jaw, slim build and kind dark gray eyes. And the little boy who couldn’t be more than 10 years old has the same bright blue eyes as the woman, honey brown hair, and a smile that seemed as bright as the son.

”We’re sorry,” began the woman. “Is-“ Then she stopped, and squinted her eyes tilting her head to the right. Then a spark of recognition lit up her face. “Can it be.” She said softly. She took a few steps closer to Claude until she was just inches away from him. Claude stood stock still but his heart was hammering in his chest. Gingerly she reached out her hand and touched his face caressing it then ran her fingers through his auburn bangs. “Claude?”

All Claude could do was nod as tears stung his eyes. “Hi Mama.” He whispered. “It’s me.”

His mother gasped and grabbed him into her arms. Claude hugged her back just as tightly and cried tears of gratitude. His father and brother came running up to join them. “Burlio, look our son! He’s here!” Said Ethelinda, her voice thick with emotion. Ethelinda stepped away so her husband could get a good look at their son. He took Claude’s face in his hands, tears in his dark gray eyes. The same eyes he gave his son.

“It really is you, my son. My you’ve grown.” Burlio hugged Claude, his strong embrace comforting. Just then Clement timidly walked up to Claude, stepping in front of his father, peering up at him with bright blue curious eyes.

”Big brother?” Said Clement tilting his head. Once again, all Claude could do was nod. Clement’s expression softened. “I’m so glad you’re here.” He whispered. The sight of his brother standing there in front of him was almost overwhelming. He was alive, well, and as vibrant as ever. Claude vehemently rushed him and grabbed him up in his arms, squeezing him as tight as he could without hurting him, never wanting to let go.

”Oh Clement…” He sobbed. “How much I’ve missed you!”

Clement laughed. “Claude! You’re squishing me!” Claude laughed too, but he didn’t let go of his little brother, he wasn’t ready to yet. The reality that Jehovah had brought his family back was still sinking in. He thought back to the time Liam had come to his door, told him the hope for the loved ones who have been lost in death, and believed enough in Claude to tell him that he would see his family again. Now Jehovah has given him the very thing he had prayed for. Ethelinda and Burlio joined the embrace, holding both of their sons in their arms, like they used to do so many years ago.

By this time, Zephyr and Ica heard the commotion and quickly emerged from the treehouse to see what was going on. When they saw Claude in the arms of a man and woman and a young boy the gasped. Immediately they knew that this was Claude’s family. They had been brought back to life and he had gotten the one thing he had always wanted. Ica, over the moon for her husband began to tear up and so did Zephyr. The two of them waited patiently, letting the Frollos have their moment. After a couple more moments, they at least let go of each other. Then Claude looked over his shoulder at his wife and son who had been watching the reunion. He smiled at them then took, both of them by the hand and led them over to his father, mother, and brother.

”Mama, Papá, Clement, I have someone I would like you to meet.” Said Claude. “This,” he began gesturing to Ica. “Is my beautiful wife Ica.”

Ica blushed, and looked down, a little shy to finally be meeting her husband’s family that she knew he loved and cherished. “H-hello. It’s nice to meet you.” She said looking up. “Your son is an amazing man. And I love him very much. I hope that…you and I can be family too.” Just then Ethelinda took her son’s wife in her arms.

”Of course, we can be family. I would love nothing more. As a mother, I can tell that you make my son so happy.” She stroked Ica’s thick coily hair, then peeked over her shoulder. “Claude, my daughter-in-law is lovely.” Hearing that her husband’s mother liked and accepted her made tears pool in her hazel eyes and drip down her cheeks. When she let go of Ica, Burlio was the next one to embrace her.

“You are beautiful, my dear. My son in a lucky man to have you.” Ica smiled, wiping her tears with the back of her hand.

Just then Clement came bounding up to a Ica and threw his arms around her. “You’re a lucky girl.” He said looking up at her. “A lot of girls liked my brother, but he never liked any of them back.” Claude blushed when she glanced back at her husband. “Which means you must be very special.”

Ica laughed and hugged Clement back. “Well then, I’m glad your brother thinks I’m special.”

Ethelinda noticed Zephyr standing next to his father waiting quietly for Claude to introduce him. She noticed the similar facial expressions and demeanour in this young man that she saw in both her sons. “Claude…” She whispered. “Is this?” Zephyr gave a tiny smile as his father nodded and ushered him forwards.

“This is your grandson, Zephyr.”

Just as she had done to Ica, she took her grandson in her arms. She ran her fingers through his thick wavy hair and over his freckled face and then peered into his bright green eyes. “Burlio,” murmured Ethelinda. “His eyes, they are the same as…”

”My Auntie Cliona.” Finished Zephyr for her, his voice just as soft.

Her eyes widened. “You’ve met Cli-“

“Wait! So…” Blurted Clement cutting off his mother. “I ‘m his uncle, but he’s older than me? That’s so silly!”

Zephyr laughed out loud. “I guess it is kind of silly isn’t it?” Said Zephyr ruffling his young uncle’s honey brown hair.

“As a matter of fact,” began Burlio. “I am a little confused as to what’s going on. I mean…I don’t really remember a whole lot accept the last time I saw you son, you were twelve years old and…now your all grown up and that I missed everything in between.”

”Yes, I agree. This all seems so sudden.” Added Ethelinda.

The younger generation Frollos all glanced at each other and smiled. “Mama, Papá, Clement, welcome to the new system.” Said Claude. “Now, let’s go down to the clearing and Ica, Zephyr, and I will do our best to try to explain everything to you.”

***

“Hey uncle Liam! Auntie Lauren, Mom! Over here!” Called Mavrik, waving his arm high above his head. “This cave is amazing! Plus you can walk on top if it!” Liam made his way over to his excited nephew followed by his aunt and mother.

“Wow, this is a nice cave.” Said Liam tilting his head up to get a good look at it. Turning to look at Mavrik he smiled. “How about you and I go up to the top? I’m young again, so I think I can keep up with my old nephew.” He reached over and ruffled his straight black and white hair.

Mavrik laughed. “Well I guess that's true.” Then he looked over his shoulder at his mom and aunt. “Are you guys coming as well?”

The two women glanced at each other and grinned. “Count us in!” Said Nessie.

Once the four of them were on top of the face, a warm breeze graced their skin and ruffled their hair. Liam held both arms out to thecside and took in a deep breath through his nose. “Take a wiff of that New System air.” He said exhaling.

“Yeah, and the view’s pretty good too, wouldn’t you say?” Said Lauren winking, was she placed her elbow on her husband’s shoulder.

Liam chuckled. “That too.”

Just then, Liam got a glimpse of something in the distance that made his heart skip. He rubbed his eyes and squinted. “Liam, are you alright?” Asked Nessie tilting her head.

“Yeah…Ness come here. Look over there. Doesn't that look like…” He trailed off as his sister stepped beside him and peered in he distance. The two siblings gazed down he hill into a field of flowers and saw two figures walking hand in hand. It looked like a man and a woman. Then the woman broke away and stooped down and smelled a bright yellow bundle of daffodiles that were peeking up from the ground. “Let’s go see who they are.” Nessie nodded and followed after her brother. Mavrik and Lauren shared a glance but followed suit.

As they closed the gap between them in them and the two new comers, Liam and Nessie halted in their tracks, mouths agape. There knelt down smelling the daffodils was a woman, rosy cheeks dotted with freckles, and large line green eyes. Her hair was white but she was as young a could be with tones of soft pink threading through. Standing behind her was a man with kind dark eyes, straight black hair, who’s smile could make you feel as if the sun itself were shining warmly on your face.

“Mom…” Said Nessie.

“Dad…” Finished Liam.

The man and woman spun around just in time to see the two siblings running up to them with tears in their eyes. They plowed into them nearly knocking them to the ground. The couple grabbed onto Nessie and Liam to steady themselves. After several moments the two siblings let go and stepped back, wiping their eyes. There in front of them stood their ressurected parents. Ima and Sebby Bucksaplenty. Their eyes widened in recognition as they saw their children standing before them. Their perfect children who had grown into two fine adults.

“It is you.” Whispered Eima. She slowly walked up to them and touched both their faces and then their hair. “My you’ve grown. Look a you two.”

Just then Sebby was upon them. This time it was him who embraced his children. Relief and gratitude flooded his body. “I didn't think I would ever see you again!” He sobbed. “My children. My fine young man. So kind and generous and brave.” He craddled Liam’s head in his hands and place his forehead against his.

A batch of fresh tears pooled in Liam’s dark eyes. “I missed you, dad.” He whispered.

Then Sebby turned his attention to his daughter. “And look a you.” He took Nessie’s face in his hands and ran his thumb over her cheek, wiping the bally tears away that fell from her lime green eyes. The same color Eima had given her. “You are just as beautiful as your mother. But so strong and confident too.”

“Oh daddy, I’m so happy you’re here.” Murmured Nesie as she wrapped her arms around her father. Together the reunited family held each other, happy to be reunited once again. When they had all finally let go of each other, they turned to see Lauren and Mavrik staring at them. Ausment danced in their eyes as the saw how Nessie and Liam had been so wrapped up in reuniting with their parents that they had temporarily forgotten about them.

“Oh!” Said Liam, as he quickly grabbed his wife and nephew’s hands and brought them up to his parents. “We would like to introduce you to someone. This,” he guided Lauren forward,m”Is my beautiful wife Lauren.”

Lauren smiled warmly. “It's finally nice to meet you. Please know that I love-” Before Lauren could finish her sentence, Eima had reached out and taken her into her arms.

“You are a very lovely woman, I can tell.” Said Eima peering into Lauren’s deep blue eyes. “Just look at how much you make my son glow.” Lauren turner to look over her shoulder to see her husband grinning from ear to ear.

Lauren chuckled. “Well that makes me feel good.”

“I’m happy you like her mom.” Said Liam, as he took Lauren’s hand.

“And I like her too.” Said Sebby, as he walked up to greet Lauren. “You must be his better half?” Said Debby cheekily.

Lauren laughed. “Well, I don’t know about better maybe just his other half.”

“Mom, Daddy.” Began Nessie, ushering Mavrik forward. “I want you to meet your grandson, Mavrik.” Her parents’ eyes widened as they took in their grandson standing before them. He wasn't a child anymore, he had the features of a full grown man, but the look on his face as he stood before his grandparents made him look like he was back to being five years old.

“Hi Grandma, hi Grandpa. I’m so glad that I finally get to meet you. Mom and uncle Liam told me so much about you and how much they love you. And now… I get to love you for myself.” Mavrik three himself into the arms of his grandparents as happy tears spilled from his gold eyed. Sebby and Eima held him just as tight. When they lt go of him they took him in for just a minute longer.

“I think your’re even more handsome than your uncle over there.” Said Sebby laughing.  “You get your looks from me I think.”

“Don’t you mean me?” Said Eima teasingly. “Although I think you inherited both our hair colors.” Giggled Eima as she examined his black and white hair.

As Liam and Nessie watch Mavrik with their parents they couldn't keep the big smiles off their faces. “It’s finally come true Ness. We’ve remembered it, and now it’s here.” Murmured Liam. “Revelation 21:4.”

“So…” began Sebby. “How did all of this happen? I mean from what I can remember, you two were little tykes when me and your mother last saw you…but now you're all grown up!”

Eima nodded, a tad confused. “Yes, I remember… me and your father saying good bye to you and then…and then nothing. But seeing you know…all grown up…I feel like I’ve missed something.”

Liam, Lauren, Nessie, and Mavrik all glanced at each other. “Well, started Liam. “There definitely is a lot to explain to you guys. Tell you what. Let’s all go down the clearing and we’ll let you know what’s happened.”

***

“Hey Princess, what do you think of these?” Eli held out his arms dramatically grinning as he showcased the colorful display of butterfly houses he had just put up.

“Well, by the looks of all these butterflies making their way over, I think it’s pretty great.” Said his daughter grinning back.

“I have one more to put up, do you tag team it?” Asked Eli. Emory nodded and made her way over to where her father was kneeling down on the ground. “So just take this and hammer it into the ground. Then we’ll build it up together. Eli handed his daughter the hammer and he held the pole firmly with two hands so it would go into the ground straight. “Okay, go ahead and hammer it in.”

As Emory raised the hammer to swing a bright red butterfly landed on her nose. She giggled and gently waved it away. “Okay let me try it again.” She raised the hammer again but this time a one purple one with maroon streaks landed in between her eyes. Eli burst out laughing until a green one with blue splotches perched itself on the tip of his nose. He looked down at it, his pale brown eyes crossing has be did. Emory gently situated the butterfly onto her finger and held it out in front of her face. “I’m glad you like our houses little butterfly. We’ll be done pretty soon, and all your friends can come enjoy them.”

Finally the blue and green butterfly abandoned Eli’s face and flew off to land on a nearby branch. “Isn't the creation beautiful Em? Now we can enjoy it, the way it was intended to. But alright, let’s hurry and get this last one up before we’re swarmed with more of these little guys.”

Emory laughed. “I think you’re right about that.”

After another half hour, the son and daughter had finally finished the last butterfly house. “There.” Said Eli standing up and dusting off his hands. All done.” Together they admired their work. By now several butterflies were making themselves at home in the new beautify houses the Deslauriers had built.

“It came out really good dad.” Said Emory turning to look at him. “Thanks to Jehovah.”

Eli threw an arm around her shoulder. “Couldn't agree more. I’m actually getting a little hungry, what do you say we stop for lunch. Maybe we can see what Ica an Z are up for one too. I know they said they were building that tree house, so I’m sure they’ve worked up an appetite.”

“I think a picnic sounds lovely. Especially since all the food is perfect and at the peak of deliciousness.” Chuckles Emory.

As the two of them turned to head back toward the neighborhood valley, there was someone making their way to the top of the hill, but Eli and Emory couldn't quite make out who it was.  It looked like a woman, with a slender build and she wore a bright red dress. Emory squinted her  pale green eyes.  “Hey dad…who do you think that? She looks los-”

“Cliona?” Whispered Eli, half to himself, cutting off his daughter.

Emory glanced at her father then whipped her head around to stars at the woman, who was knowing making her way down the hill. “Wait…is that really…”

Without warning, Eli seized his daughter’s hand dragging her towards this unknown woman, who he was convinced was his wife. When they finally got close enough to see who it was, the two of them halted in their tracks, their mouths agape, and eyes wide with awe. There standing in front of them was a stunningly gorgeous woman. Her reddish brown hair was styled into a lovely pompadour, with a single strand of lighter hair draped neatly over her forehead and her mesmerizing bright green eyes shimmered with light as she gazed back at Eli and Emory, her red lips holding a warm and inviting smile. Just then it seemed as if the butterflies tha had occupied the Deslaurier’s newly built houses just moments before had made their way toward thus woman, enthralled by her beauty. The enveloped her floating and dancing around her body and landing in her hair.

Their eyes met and she spoke. “Oh, My Brave Knight, my Princess…how lovely it is to see you.”

Immediately tears sprang from Eli’s pals brown eyes and her rushed toward her. Within seconds he was taking her into his arms and embracing her. “My Queen,” he wheezed. “It’s you. You’re here. I missed you much. He gripped her tighter afraid that is he let go she might be gone again. After a few minutes, Eli finally let go over her and leaned back so he could see her face, but he didn't release her from his arms.

She chuckled. “I guess the paradise that I read about in those magazines was real. I’m young and beautiful again.”

Eli just gazed at her. In her older years, Cliona had always been exceptionally beautiful to him. But now she was breathtakingly alluring. Her angular face no longer showed the lines of age, but was soft and supple and her skinned glowed with warmth. Her beautiful hair was full of rich color and those bright green eyes he loved so much were more the brightest he had ever seen them. “Oh my Queen, how many times to I have to tell you.” He chuckled softly, his eyes glassy. “You were always beautiful to me.” He cupped her pretty face in his hands and kissed her tenderly. She smiled and kissed him back. With that Eli scooped his ressurected wife into his arms and tossed her in the air. She twirled, her bright red dress flairing out around her before she landed neatly back in his arms. Cliona laughed out loud, high and robust and full of pure joy.

“Dad! Go easy on Mama!” Laughed Emory. “She still has to get used to get new body!” Eli grinned and gently put Cliona back down on her own two feet, just to have Emory plow into her. She took in the sight of her. She couldn't believe how young her mother was, seeing her first time. She reached out and touched her mother’s face and then ran the loose strand if hair through her two fingers.  “Mama… I’ve missed you so much.” She murmured into her mother’s chest.

Cliona peered down at her daughter. Though she was now a beautiful young woman, she couldn't help but see the little girl she would hold in her arms. She stroked Emory’s curly auburn hair. “Oh my love, I’m here now, and I don’t think I’m going anywhere ever again.” Emory smiled and snuggled closer against her mother. Eli smiled fondly seeing his wife and daughter reunited. When Emory let go of her she looked back at her father.

“Well, I guess now Mama can join us for the picnic now at the clearing with Auntie Ica and Z.” She said grinning.

“Looks like your right princess. How about Cli, care to join us for a picnic. The food will be the best you have ever tasted. After all, it is paradise food.” Eli winked at her.

Cliona laughed. “I would love nothing more to join my husband and my daughter for a picnic in paradise.”

***

When the newly reunited Deslauriers family reached the clearing they were excited to see that Ica and Zephyr were there after not seeing them at their home. “Looks like they had the same idea.” Said Eli as he watched Zephyr spreading out a blanket. “But…who are those other people with them?”

Emory locked her eyes in the other people with the Frollo, but didn't recognize any of them, except one man who looked strangly familiar to her. “Well, how about we go introduce ourselves. Could be friends of theirs.” She suggested, starting forward.

Ica had finished laying out the salad when she saw her niece and brother-in-law walking toward them. A smile broke out in her freckled face when she saw them, followed by a gasp when she saw who else was with them. “Cliona!” She cried. Claude snapped his head up from what he was doing when he heard his wife yell his sister’s name. Immediately Ica was sprinting toward her ressurected sister-in-law quickly closing the gap between them.

Knowing how extremely affectionate Ica could be she was ready for impact. She smiled and held out her arms for Ica to throw herself in to. Emory and Eli jumped out if the way just in time. “Cliona!” Cried Ica again, this time with tears if joy in her eyes.  “You”re back!”

Cliona laughed. “I am, crazy girl.” She said hugging her back just as tightly.

When Ica finally let go of her sister-in-law she took a minute to study her. “Wow don’t you look gorgeous.” Cooed Ica. Like Emory had done, she touched Cliona’s face amazed at how perfect her skin was and how soft her hair was. Cliona blushed a little. “You know though, I always thought you were quite attractive. But now you’re perfect and atrractive.”

“She’s right sis.” Cliona slowly looked around her sister-in-law and saw her brother smiling fondly at her. Her bright green eyes widened. She couldn't believe it. She had never known her brother when he was a child of even a younger adult. But only as an older man. To see him now was quite a surprise. “You look lovely…” Claude’s voice came out choked and hally tears pooled in his dark gray eyes.

“You don't look half bad yourself, little brother by six minutes.” Said Cliona. In an instant Claude had his twin sister in his arms hugging her tight.

“You made it.” He squeaked.

“Jehovah knew her heart was right, Papa.” Piped Zephyr. Cliona looked over her shoulder to see her nephew smoking at her, his bright green eyes glittering. She held out an arm and Zephyr quickly joined in the embrace, happy to have his aunt back in his life.

“Auntie Cli…I missed you. I lost you and Papa on the same day but now I get you back on the same day.” The twins shared a glance then looked at their families who nodded.

“Yeah,” started Ica. “Ironically…you two fell asleep in death on the same night. But, now you are ressurected on the same day. It’s the twin thing!”

Claude and Cliona just smiled and shook their heads. “Well,” began Claude. “Twin thing or not, I’m just glad to have my sister here.” He gave her one last squeeze. Then he glanced back at his family, the one he had just been reunited with after losing them so young. They remained where they were near the picnic blanket, but watched the little reunion with curious expressions. “Cliona.” Claude’s voice was low and soft as if he were only speaking to her. “There is someone…well a few someones that I’d like you to meet.” Ica and Zephyr gave Claude a knowing smile, whilst Cliona curiously gazed at her brother briefly before he took her hand and gently led her over to wear not only his family, was but hers as well.

The first generation Frollos straightned as Claude brought his sister over. “Mama, Papá, Clement…” He trailed off. In that moment, Claude didn't exactly know what to say or how to go about introducing their long lost daughter and sister. “Um…” But before he could say anything more, Ethelinda and Burlio’s eyes widened.

“Cliona.” The said in tandem, their voices barley audible.

Cliona’s bright green eyes widened. “M-mama? P-papá?”

Ethelinda clapped her hand over her mouth and bright blue eyes filled with tears, and she threw her arms around her daughter, sobbing into her shoulder. Cliona slowly returned the hug, barley able to speak. “My baby girl.” Squeaked Ethelinda. “It’s you. It’s really you.” Burlio joined in, wrapping his arms around his wife and daughter. Together the three of the wept quietly together, happy and awestruck to be standing here in eachother’s embrace. Claude watched silently, his dark graybeyes , liquidy and his throat tight with so much emotion he didn't know if he could speak.

When the three of them finally let go of each other, Burlio and Ethelinds turned to Claude. Knowing what they were thinking he smiled. “We found each other.” He said simply.

“Mama! Papa!” Yipped Clemenet. “Who is this?”

Ethelinda wiped her eyes and stooped down to her sons level, meeting his bright blue gaze, the same bright blue gaze as her own. “This, my love, is your older sister, Cliona.”

Clement’s eyes grew to the sizes of saucers. “We have a sister! And I thought this day couldn’t get anymore bazzare!”

Cliona laughed and stopped down next to her mother. “I know this must be strange for you Clement, but I hope you’ll except me as your big sister.” She smiled at him hopeful.

Clement studied her for a moment. “You look just like Claude.” He said softly.

Claude chuckled and picked his younger brother up in his arms. “That’s because she’s my sister too. And we’re twins. Not the identical kind, but still people can pretty much tell we’re realted. And she’s even older than me. Well…by six minutes si technically that makes her my big sister too. But Clement, it would mean the world to me if you would welcome Cliona as part of the family. To me and Mama and Papá.” When he spoke his voice was gentle and full of warmth.

Clement scanned his older brother’s face, then glanced at his parents’s eager expressions. He smiled. “Okay.” He said finally. “I want Cliona to be my big sister too.” His parents’ and siblings’ faces lit up as they all embraced Clement, the youngest of the Frollos. He laughed out loud. “Even though this day is kind of bizzare, it’s turning out to be one of the best days.”

“Cliona dear,” began Burlio. “Please know that it’s….it’s not that we didn't want you it’s…”

Cliona cut her father off. “It’s okay Papá, I know. If you didn'tgive me up then…then I might not be who I am today, and…” Cliona smiled, and looked over her shoulder and called to her husband and daughter. “I might not have met the love of my life and had my baby girl.”

Eli and Emory walked over to meet Cliona’s long lost family. Emory did a small curtsey. “Hello Grandma Ethelinda, hello grandpa Burlio, hello uncle Clement.” When Emory brought her gaze back up to meet her grandparents’ and uncles she saw nothing but warmth there. “Oh my.” Gasped Ethelinda. “She’s beautiful. Just like you my darling.”

“Mama says that we get those genes from you, grandma.” Chimed Emory grinning.

Ethelinda smiled and immediately took her granddaughter into her arms. “I love her already.”

Burlio took Emory into his arms as well. “So do I.” Burlio chuckled. “I can’t believe we have a granddaughter and a grandson yet…I don’t remember any of it.”

“Yes…this is still all a bit…strange.” Said Ethelinda.

“Yeah, and now I have a niece who is older than me too.” Laughed Clement. “But…I think i’ll keep her.”

Emory smiled and picked Clement up to hug him making him giggle. “Thank you uncle Clement.”

Just then Cliona brought Eli forward. “And this, is my wonderful husband. Your son-in-law. He’s the most amazing man there is. And I love him very much…he took care of me my entire life.”

Eli took another timid step forward. “Mr. and Mrs. Frollo, Cliona is the love of my life, and my only regret is not having you there as my father-in-law and mother-in-law. But please know I had the next best thing, and that’s Claude here.” Eli put his arm around his brother-in-law. He gave me his blessing to marry her and I will forever be thankful for that.”

“And,” chimed Claude. “He’s always taken care of her, he kept his promise and I’m glad Cli has him.”

“Well, well.” Said Burlio. “He stepped closer to Eli and studied him. His dark gray eyes an exact replica of Claude’s were kind and sincere. “Thank you, for taking such good cars if our daughter.” He reached out his arms and hugged Eli. Although Burlio hadn’t been the least bit intimidating, Eli felt a rush a relief flood his body. When Burlio released him, he turned his attention to his wife’s mother.

Eli smiled. “Your daughter is truly amazing. And I see where she gets her beauty from, but believe it or not, that’s not the only reason why I fell in love with her. She has an amazing soul and a kind and generous heart. Thank you for sharing her with me. And I am happy that I get the privillage to be your son-in-law, if you’ll have me.”

Ethelinda just shook her head, eyes glassy. “Of course I’ll have you.” She whispered. Cliona’s heart swelled with joy, ecstatic that her family liked Eli.

“I’ll have you too!” Piped Clement.

Eli laughed and picked Clement up with one hand and propped him on his shoulders. Clement squealed with laughter. “Thanks Clement.”

“Oh, you’d better get used to that.” Said Emory. “He’s always pickind people up like that. Me, Mama, Zephyr, you know.” Everyone laughed.

Just then there was a shout of joy and everyone turned to see another group of familiar faces. It was the Bucksaplentys and McFarlnads, but there were two other people that none of them recognized. ‘Hey Mav!” Called Zephyr waving his arm high over his head. “Over here!”

When Mav saw his best friend he came zooming over, closing the gap between them in seconds. “Zeph! You won’t guess what-” He stopped mid sentence and looked at the new comers who were with his best friend. As Liam and the others caught up. Liam too stopped in his tracks, his dark eyes focusing in on Claude.

Seeing the pure shock in his best friend’s face, Claude smirked and said, “Hey stranger.”

Tears of joy immediately sprang from, Liam’s eyes and he flung himself at Claude, knocking him over. He squeezed him so tight that Claude gasped a little but was followed by laughter. “Claude buddy! You’re back!” Liam got off his friend and took a good look at him. “Wooow you degage nice. Look at all this hair you’ve got.” He said taking a hand and ruffling Claude’s now thick auburn hair. And hey smooth skin, and even some added muscle.” He squeezed both biceps.

Ica giggled. “I think he looks good too.”

Just then Liam noticed everyone staring at him and Claude on the ground jolting him back to his surroundings. Then his expression brightened. His parents were here and he couldn't wait for Claude to meet them. “Claude buddy.”mHe said standing up then helping Claude up. “My parents…they’re back.”

Claude gazed at his best friend and a smile broke out on his face. “Mine too.” He said softly.

Liam’s eyes widened. Then he looked past Claude and saw a man and a woman and a young boy watching him curiously. Dusting himself off he strode over and gave a polite bow. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” said Liam politely. “Your son is an amazing man, he’s become my best friend. He makes me so happy.”

Claude’s family laughed. “Well, you are a very spirited young man, aren’t you.” Said Ethhelinda. “It’s nice to meet you too.”

“Yeah between my wife and my best friend I don't ever slow down.” Chuckled Claude. “But, these two were the first people to ever show me true kindthat when I didn’t deserve it. They were true friends.” Burlio and Ethelinda have their son a curious glance but didn't ask what he meant by that.

Then Liam turned his attention back to his own parents. “Mom, dad, come meet my best friend. I’ll know you’ll adore him.”

Eima and Sebby made their way over to wear Claude was and Sebby didn't offer his hand rather he just gave him a tight squeeze, catching Claude slightly off guard. “Any friend of Liam’s is a friend of mine.”

Claude smiled at Sebby. “I can see where your son gets his friendliness from. You raised an amazing person. Then he turned his attention to Eima. “Nice to meet you, Eima. Liam thinks the world of you. He couldn't have asked for a better mother.”

Eima blushed. “Well, thank you. And I doom’t think Liam could have asked for a better friend.”

“Oh,” began Liam. “This is Claude’s wife Ica and his son Zephyr. Over there is his neice Emory, his twin sister Cliona…” Liam stopped and did a double-take. “Cliona! Your’re here too!”

Eli laughed. “Yeah, my Queen is back. Thanks Liam…for everything. For showing me that it would be possible to one day see her again, for studying with me, for helping me trust in Jehovah.”

Liam winked and threw an arm around Eli. “Was don’t mention it.”

“Soooo,” sang Zephyr. “It looks like we all had the same idea here. The clearing. The picnic. Explanation as to what’s going on for those of you who may be a little confused.” He chuckled when he saw the Bucksaplentys and his father and aunt’s families nodding.”

“Don’t start without me.” A voice, soft spoken and gentle floated through the warm air, carrying itself to Ica’s ears. She stiffened. Can it be? She slowly turned around to see Morgans smiling at her, with a bit of mischief dancing in her dark brown eyes. Ica’s mouth fell open. There standing before her and everyone here was her her beloved Bible teacher who had fallen asleep in death due to a horrible cancer. She had been skmfaril, so broken, the day Ica had to say goodbye, but his she was young, and full of life. Her lush curly hair flowed down her back and cascaded over her shoulders and her warm brown skin was smooth and glowing. Ica didn't think she had a single happy tear left in her body but she thought wrong because seeing Morgans made her eyes wet once again.

“MORGANA!” Ica once again found herself throwing herself into the arms of another ressurected loved one. “In Morgana.” She wheezed when she finally was in her embrace. I was so sad when I had timsay goodbye. It was so hard. But I remembered Revelation 21:4 and now it’s come true.”

Morgana laughed, butnheld her last Bible student just as tightly and stroked her thick coily hair. “That it did, and I’m so proud of you for making it here.” She whispered. “Jehovah must be so proud of you.” They held on to each other for a minute more before pulling away. Then Morgana spotted Zephyr and Claude watching their mother and wife’s reunion with slightly wet eyes but large smile. She smirked. “Why Claude is that you? My you’ve turned out to be a handsome young man.” She said walking over to give him a hug.

“I know, he looks great doesn’t he?” Squealed  Ica, clearly still smitten with Claude and his younger self.

Claude looked down a tad bashful. “You don’t look half bad yourself.”

Then she turned her attention to Zephyr. “And…is that Zephyr? You’ve grown into such a fine young man! You’re all grown up!” Zephyr ran over to give Morgans a hug.

“Yeah, but I’m still small for an adult, thanks to mum over there.” Everyone laughed.

“Well, that may be so, but I bet you have grown into a winderful spiritual young man as well, which makes up for your size. Don’t you think?”

“Aww well, I mean I try.” He laughed.

“So looks like we have a big crowd here. Ah, but I see some familiar faces. Hello Liam.” Said Morgans smiling over un his direction.” Liam grinned and went to go give her a big hug, followed by Lauren, Maveik, and Nessie. “It’s truly nice to see all of you again. But now, I see some unfamiliar faces.” Said Morgana looking at the rest of the group.

“I’ll do the honors!” Said Ica stepping forward. Claude smiled and shook his head, amused at his wife’s enthusiasm. “Over there,” she pointed to the Deslauriers. “Is Eli, Cliona, and Emory Desauriers. And guess what! Cliona is Claude’s twin sister. We found her when we were visiting France in the previous system.”

Mogana’s eye brows rose a little. “Oh? Well make sure to tell me that story, I am very interested. And if I do say so, they really do look a like.” The twins shared an amused glance.

“And Emory and Eli are his neiec and brother-in-law. Over here,” continued Ica as she pointed to the first generation Frollo. Are Claude’s parents and little brother. They were ressurected today.” Ica’s eyes sparkled at the memory of seeing her husband reunite with his family. Ethelinda, Burlio, and Clement.” Morgana smiled in their direction, knowing how much pain Claude had gone through when he lost them. But now they were here safely back by his side. “And finally over here, are Liam’s parents. Eima and Sebby. They were ressurected today too! I’m so glad everyone is reuniting again.” Said Ica squealing with joy. Then her expression turned thoughtful. “Say, Morgana, have you seen your family yet? I remember that…you were going to introduce me to Rachel.” Said Ica somewhat quietly.

Morgan shooknher head. “I haven’t seen them yet, but when I do, I’ll be sure to let you know. Oh how I am looking forward to hugging my daughter again.” Ica smiled fondly at her Bible teacher. Knowing just how hard it was for her to lose her only daughter so young. But soon, she would be reunited with her dead loved ones, just as Ica was today.

Just then a man with long blonde hair and violet eyes who was holding hands with a woman who also had blond hair, except a few shaded lighter, came striding up behind Eima and Sebby. “Oh hey! Attics and Elaine was it?” Said Sebby cheerfully. “Hey kids this is…” Nessie and Liam whipped around so fast it was a miracle they didn't get whiplash.

“ATTICUS?!” They cried in tandem. Within the minutes the siblings were plowing into the man whom they had come to love as their second father. Sebby reeled back as he saw his kids blow past him and  embrace the man who he had just met today, and was apparently just about to introduce to them. Eima stood there not sure what to do while Elaine watched with her hands neatly clasped in front of her and a small knowing smile on her bright red lips.

“Dad! Dad!” Cried the twins.

“We made it!” Said Liam tears in his eyes.

“We remembered Revelation 21:4 like you said.” Squesked Nessie. “And now you’re here, we were patient and now you’re here.”

Atticus’s violet eyes, no longer hidden by glasses watered as he embraced the children he had adopted so long ago. “My children.” He whispered. “I’m so proud of you for making it here. Jehovah is proud of you too.”

Nessie pulled out off his embrace and turned her attention to the fair haired woman that had been with atticus. “And you must be Elaine.” She said softly.

Elaine gave a tiny nod and took a step toward Nessie and took both her hands in her own. Her voice was smooth and melodious when she spoke. “Yes, and Atticus has already told me so much about you.” Elaine took Nessie in her arms and gave her a gentle hug. Nessie hugged her back. Then she walked over to Liam and gave him a hug as well, and touched the side of his face. “He loves you both, very much. And I know I will come to love you as he does.” Liam looked down, feeling suddenly shy.

When they had all let go of each other, Nessie and Liam saw their parents looking at them in bewilderment. Realizing how this might have looked Liam quickly started to explain. “Uh so yeah, we kind of already know Atticus.”

“Okay.” Said Sebby. “But you called him…dad?”

Liam opened his mouth and closed it again, not sure how to explain all of this. Nessie looked just as stumped. Just then Atticus chuckeld. A low rich sound from deep in his throat. “There must have been a reason Jehovah had us cross paths today, Sebby and Eima. I had no clue I was talking to mother and father of Nessie and Liam.” Once again the Bucksaplentys just stared at Atticus with bemused expressions. “Why don't you two have a seat and I’ll explain everything.”

“Excuse me? Atticus?” It was Zephyr who spoke. Atticus turned to look at him. “Um…so there are a few here that are a little confused as to what’s going on so us that know what’s happend were going to try to explain that as well…if that’s okay?”

Atticus smiled warmly at the freckled faced young man. “But of course.“ Atticus invited those who were newly ressurected and new to this promse of paradise to take a seat on the picnic blankets, while everyone else joined him on the little mount of rocks. “So, let me start out by saying that it’s nice to have you all back with us. Now you might be wondering what’s happend. I’m sure you’ve noticed some changed not just with the earth, but with your loved ones as well. Liam’s parents and Claude’s family nodded their heads. “These changes have been put in place by our lovely God and creator. And his name is Jehovah.”

Just then Clement spoke. “Oh…we used to learn about God when we went to…um…church?” He glanced up at his parents who gave him a nod. “But…I don’t remember much of that…snd didn't even know he had a name. Just called him God.”

Liam smiled at Clement, remembering the first time Atticus had told him about God’s name. “Yeah, I thought the same thing too…when I was little.” Liam thought for a moment, chosing his words wisely. “Before we all got here, we lived in a system where bad things happened. It was a word filled with a lot of suffering. But, Jehovah was always there. He told us that things would get better…through a book he had.”

Clement perked up. “Really? I love books! Mama and Papá would read us books all the time. Right Claude?” Clement turned his bright blue gaze on his older brother.

Claude smiled. “That’s right Clement. But this book that Jehovah gave us was the most important book we could read, because it gave us real hope. And can you believe we had one right in our house but we never realized how special it was.” Claude huffed a laugh, thinking of the Hebrew bible he had on the mantle his childhood home. “It was the Bible. There is actually a piece of hope that I would read or even remember over and over again when things got really tough or sad in that old system we lived in. All of us actually.” Claude gestured to all his friends and family who have made their own personal relationship with Jehovah and achieved everlasting life.

“What’s this hope you’re talking about?” Asked Debby. “Sounds pretty neat if you ask me.”

“It’s Revelation 21:4.” Said Ica cheerfully.

Atticus pulled out a small gray book from a bag he had with him. “Would you all like to hear it?” The first generation Frollo and Bucksaplentys nodded. Atticus smiled and leafed through the bible until he found the scripture he was looking for and read it aloud.

And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”

When he was done, he looked up and paused for a moment letting the words sink in. Then he continued, “You see, Jehovah promised that that old system we lived in would bee gone. And that time is now. We are living in what is called the new system, or more commonly known as a paradise.”

Just then Ethelinda spoke up. “Well, it sure is lovely here and I can get used to calling this my home…but…how does that explain our children suddenly becoming adults without us having any recollection of it?”

Eima nodded. “Yes, I mean I was certainly happy to see Liam an Nessie but I feel like the last time I saw them they were only six and eleven then…” Eima trailed off. Something in get mind bevane fuzzy all of a sudden. Like the memory was the but she had a hard time recalling it.

That’s when Nessie spoke, her voice on the quiet side. “That’s because, the last time you saw us, we were six and eleven.”

Liam nodded. “Remember how we said…in that old system, bad things happened?” Eima and the others nodded. “Well, one of those bad things was murder.” The air seemed to still as Liam spoke. “Mom, Dad, the reason why you don’t remember Ness and I growing up was because your lives were taken.”

There was a brief silence then Claude broke it. “Mama, Papá, Clement?” Claude’s family turned to look at him. “Your lives were taken as well. When I was twelve. That's why you didn't see me grow up, or get married, or have my son. You were sleeping in death while all of that happened. The Bible likens death to sleep.”

“That’s a really long sleep.” Laughed Clement. “We slept so long it must have been like a a bazillion of years!”

Zephyr laughed. “Yeah, and now you know why you have a nephew that’s way older than you!”

“And why I have an adult grandson and granddaughter.” Chuckled Burlio.

Morgana chuckled as well. “That would be accurate. But you’ve been woken up, brought back to life. That’s another promise in the Bible from Jehovah.”

“She’s right.” Chimed Atticus. “I can read that promise to you as well.” Once again Atticus opened the the little gray bible and thus timed turned to the scripture
