While digging around in my old sketchbooks, I found these three proto-Roomies! strips. I drew them during the first week of my freshman year at Indiana University in a huuuuge sketchpad, just for funsies. My plan was to just keep drawing them at my leisure, for myself. Maybe throw them up on Geocities. But then at the end of the week, I found out that the Indiana Daily Student was actually looking for a comic strip. These three strips were what I hurriedly gave them that afternoon.They weren't even close to the right dimensions, so I couldn't actually use them. I started over from scratch with the comics you see in the Roomies! archives proper. I did end up redrawing the middle one for a strip at the end of the first year. The other two, I guess, are apocrypha.

Sheesh, it's hard to believe you're the same artist as today. If this looked poor or something it'd make sense, but this still looks professional-quality, just different.

lol'd. I remember your old strips, it was fun to read; and Dumbing of Age is a nice remake, I actually enjoyed it a lot
