Been meaning to draw Sol a new ref sheet but haven't had the motivation to draw a *completely* new one so I pulled up her 2017 ref and adjusted her colors. Funny enough, I just realized her colors now resemble her 2013 ref pretty darn closely... it's very interesting to me that for some reason I drifted away from those colors but then ended up quickly disliking her desaturated coat (she looked too snow leopard like when she is supposed to be a leucistic amur leopard) and subconsciously found my way back to the more saturated colors I first drew her in. I'm pretty pleased with this version but I suppose we'll see in a few months if I end up fiddling with it further. XD

It's hard for me to get in the mindset of color swatches since I never cared for my characters to have set colors buuuuut.... animating has made me acutely aware of how necessary that is lol

(I'm sad this character is as old as she is and I still haven't started the graphic novel I made her for. The text-based draft of it is almost completely written, but I am for whatever reason paralyzed with anxiety whenever I go to start drawing it.)
