the deafening silence was overwhelmingit blared into her mind with an unwavering icy chill
her eyes a stony brown, cold, and unthinking
and her mouth giving no expressions at all
she didn't know what to do anymore
every 2 way street had become a dead end
every green light becomes a row of nails
nails that plunged into her heart
with the music that whispered at that high pitch
no one heard her screams
she screamed all the time
her hands groped the air
hoping for that finger to be there
that shirttail, that savior
to grab her out of the whirlwind of despair
and yet no one came
she tried to cry
but had wasted all her tears long ago
on lost hope, dead dreams
those tears had been wasted on her life
or what was left, besides the tunes
the soundtrack of her life
a solemn upbeat tune
the crash of her desires
the twang of her whimpers
the beat of her tears
falling to the floor
she lie there
her eyes glazed with a hopeless glare
and died
alone, just as she had been born
