Description

Another addition to the characters inspired by stories I used to create as a 9-10 years old (back in 2004, used to call it BYDURAK and will keep calling it as such, despite the substantial changes in the plot and even in some character designs) and as well extant references from mass entertainment fiction (comics, games, manga, etc. some more blatant than others. In this case I don't need to tell he's inspired by Rockman X4's Web Spider and Persona 4's protagonist Yu Narukami, right?).

Sergeant Minami leads the artificial jungle division of NEO ALEXANDRIA on its endeavours against the meddlesome RESISTANCE, while both factions are watched from far and above by the No Fayan forces led by Lapôlô, the self-proclaimed living image of the Spirit of Chaos , and the Moche forces led by Topa, the incarnation and a third of a trinity of shadow deities hell bent on destroying the world. The Moche operate on the futuristic, post-apocalyptic background of what was left of Earth (this story is set in a future where most of sentient life has been converted into mostly automated cyborgs, who in some cases travel back in time to help their pre-synchronization counterparts either to prevent or to assure this future will happen) through the intergalactic SPECTRO Organization, specialized in rendering ecosystems lifeless and subject to fully-automated semi-sentient androids who merely exist to prolong the development of energy to fuel up the engines of planets converted into mass destruction mobile weapons. Despite that, or in spite of that, the SPECTRO are some of the secretly largest sponsors of the RESISTANCE, while the No Fayan, who want to create a tyrannical government under Lapôlô, had some ties with Neo Alexandria before. So that's not a "good vs. evil" scenario (it never is, if you ever think it is you need to think again). The fearsome watch from the heavens is not enough, though, as in this world different underworlds operate recycling them damned sentient cyborgs. These are DUAT, operated by different factions of Egyptian Gods, and Hades, run by the three judges and a fourth hidden figure (Moros) sponsored by SPECTRO.

On the surface, Neo Alexandria's ruler, Anna Philopator (a.k.a Cleopatra) rules with an iron fist, but is also loved by her subjects. One of them, a traitor to the Resistance, is Sgt. Minami, who's been offered an once in a lifetime chance to prove the point of Ann's mercy. His past counterpart, Mangai Minami, acted as a vigilante known as OGUMO ("Spider") in Japan, his homeland (he was born in Yokohama, though he lived for a while in Chugoku) and in the US (in the fictional town of Ashville, California, where the main characters of the story's past/present part takes place). Like most guys in school, he has a crush on Ann's counterpart (Ann G ), but his girlfriend is Yukino, a wealthy girl from Matsue, who drifts between a standard, rare "Yamato-Nadeshiko" and a wrathful, sometimes misanthropic and sadistic fiend. Other than that, he had a short time relationship with a certain pop singer from Japan younger than him. But since she moved to Ashville, she started to look out for other guys. Minami believes everyone, even the worse criminals, can be redeemed, including one of his friends, a murderer and FBI agent known as Williams , whose crimes from Japan remain hidden as Mangai is his accomplice. His uncle is a cop, too, but don't know about his colleague's crimes nor his nephew's complicity. He's certainly not innocent, but his easy-going manner often gets the best of him, and have him used by fiends like Williams and Ann, who can easily blackmail him for his friendship-driven complicity and need of approval. It's not like he don't know that, though, he only has to control it.
