“Mama, mama look,” Beignet chirped as she frolicked around in the snow, her mother and Lauffeuer watching from a short distance away. The mares smiled at the filly, then went back to conversing lightly. “I am incredibly intent on where we are for now. I think it’s excellent for the impending mothers, especially Helotes. I am convinced she is going to burst at literally any moment,” Lauffeuer giggled, glancing back at Beignet. Mexia nodded her head before reaching down to grab some snow with her lips, Lauffeuer following suit moments after. After a few bites, Mexia looked up to check on her young daughter, only to find she wasn’t there. She immediately jerked her large body towards the last location of her filly, “Beignet!?” Lauffeuer looked up quickly at the panicked Mexia, “I’ll go look for her on the other side of the treeline, we will find her.” She dashed off, leaving Mexia to run off in the opposite direction.

Kyan heard the commotion and made his way to the frightened mother quickly. “Mexia, what is going on,” he questioned her as she darted from side to side trying to figure out where to start. “She’s gone, my baby, sh-“ Mexia said before being cut off by her lead stallion. “I’ll take North, you take North-East. Where is Lauffeuer?” He looked at the panicky mare. “She went to the Far East looking for B.” He nodded and took off to go look for the filly.

From Lauffeuer’s side of the search;

The red headed mare halted to a stop, huffing and puffing from running so far. She called out for the young filly, listening carefully. Nothing. She went to take off again, but stopped dead in her tracks at the sight of a little red sled. “What are you?” Lauffeuer said walking closer, going to gently nudge it. “I wouldn’t touch that if I were you,” a deep voice said walking out of the tree line. She shifted her weight away from the large red stallion. “Wh-why not?” He huffed leaning down and taking a bite of the snow, “it belongs to the two leggeds.” Her expression widened, looking down at the little red thing. “Thanks for the warning, I best be going now,” she said backing away from both the sled and the stallion. He took a step forward, “Slow down, where are you going so fast? My name is Soloman, but the other Bachelors call me Solo.” She stumbled backwards, trying to keep space between her and the flame colored stud. “I have a herd already. Please don’t come any closer,” she stuttered. He huffed, “I don’t see anyone else here.” Lauffeuer spooked as her bum hit a tree, and the stallion pressed towards her. “Come on, come with me?”

From Kyanite’s side of the search;

Kyan made his way to a lone road, leading to who knows where. “Bee,” he shouted sniffing the air, hoping for a whiff of her scent. Instead, he picked up another’s. “Who’s here,” he said loudly. Everything seemed still for a moment, before a ginormous black stallion emerged from the woods. “I’m sorry, I’ve been watching as you’ve been calling out. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen a young filly,” he said before looking at the human items on the ground next to the road. “Where are you from?” The large black Shire stallion looked at the sled and snow angel left by the human children, then backed to Kyanite, “I am from the humans farm. The young ones set me free. I’ve been hiding since.” As Kyan and the black stallion exchanged conversation for a bit, before a loud bang sounded from over the hill. “We gotta go, it’s them,” the large stallion yelled before taking off, Kyan next to him.

From Mexia’s side of the search;

Mexia darted around, yelling for her young filly. Suddenly, she stopped in her tracks. There in front of her, was her young daughter entranced by green balls and red streamer on a cedar tree. “Bee, you scared us,” Mexia said running up and nuzzling her filly. “I’m sorry Mommy, I was chasing a bird and came across this thing.” Mexia groomed her daughter and she explained what a Christmas tree was.
