Description
Here is polypainted model of a dwarf I've made some time ago. It's not a big update, the model is still pretty heavy for my pc, so working on the model is not the most fun pastime, but I guess better this, than totally abandoning the piece.[link]

I'm learning 3D and this is amazing, the modeling and the painting are great, and it really brings it to life.
Now I would lower a little bit the bump on the skin cause it looks like it has holes, specially on the belly but the scars are perfect as they are so maybe it's worth it.
And on the other hand, the spec map gives a weird look on some places, but altogether, it's a great work.

I totally dig this, If he was coming towards me I would be running the other ways screaming like a little girl, then again I am a girl...anyways back on topic i read the other comments about the beard...hmm I kind of saw it as his own personal vanity. I could seem him constantly stroking it making sure everything was perfect and in place thougth everything else is is a bit...slovenly. is the word that comes to mind ok soo sorry for the long comment I really like it though

I have a simple critique, but make no mistake- this is the coolest model ever!
Ok, I have a peeve with the way some artists use spec maps. I think when
it was first possible a few years back, game designers went overboard to
show that their engines could do it. I call it "the Vaseline years". Everything
in a level, plus the characters, looks like someone just ran around with a jar
of it, and smeared the scene just to say "hey! we can do spec maps!" So unless
this guy is fresh from a sweaty battle, it really shouldn't be so pronounced.
Just my 2 cents. GREAT model my friend.

very cool model and paint. Suggest bringing the sheen down on the skin though as it makes it look plasticy vice fleshy.

looks really good mate, the only thing I'd comment on is that the beard could do with a few rough edges, but that might not be something you want to re-do if you're already at the paint stage.
