Nettlebone Drakes are large wingless draconids with a lithe frame and an incredibly long tail. In fact, their name is derived from the unique characteristics of this aforementioned tail! Rather flexible, nearly bordering on prehensile, these tough tails are armored with sharp chitinous plating to defend against aggressors. To make matters worse, the bony plating is covered in fine hairs that when brushed up against, leave you with irritating rashes (much like Stinging Nettle does).

Members of their own species are immune to the toxins in these hairs, though with the exception of armored animals or animals with really dense fur, most other creatures are not.
