Current allegiance: The "Hollywood State" (a criminal cartel of wealthy and powerful media moguls who traffic in highly illegal forms of entertainment, with the rich elite as their primary customers), the Smithee family, the demon Mammon.

History: Elias Cohen is the grandson of Alan Smithee, the original Snuff. Under his mother's tutelage, he trained to adopt the mantle and continue his family's tradition as the inventors of the snuff film. However, like any modern filmmaker, he has rebooted the "Snuff" brand beyond his grandfather's dream. With the help of the demon Mammon, Elias has formed a vast yet highly secretive criminal cartel called "The Hollywood State", so called because it practically exists as a nation unto itself, with its own rules and customs, untouchable by the outside authorities. Although many superpowered heroes attempt to smash this evil ring, none have succeeded so far, with many meeting their ends in front of Snuff's camera lens.

Personality: Very stoic, very stern, rarely smiles.

Strengths: Highly intelligent, rich, imaginative and resourceful. Not to mention lucky.

Weaknesses: He exists in a superpowered world with no superpowers of his own.

Family: Alan Smithee (grandfather, deceased) Elizabeth Smithee Cohen (mother) Gene Cohen (father, movie producer)

Friends/relationships: Just about everybody of influence in Hollywood

Likes: Everything degenerate (under the pretense that it "pushes boundaries", of course)

Fears: Getting caught, not living up to the original Snuff's legacy, the afterlife

Extra: Elias is the spitting image of his grandfather, so much so that heroes have mistaken him for Alan Smithee's ghost. He has decided to play up this charade by donning the original Snuff's monocle (even though he can see fine without it) and black leather gloves.
