I actually don't really understand the people who have been saying this and similar things. It was an interesting episode but why are people saying it killed them? I mean it ended on the note of making Stan seem like he was doing something reasonable. I've also heard people say they aren't ready to handle the next episode, which also confused me since it seemed like things were likely getting more positive and there were interesting things to answer. Maybe you could explain though. I'm guessing it was just the notion that Stan could have been doing something evil and Dipper having thought briefly that he was. Right?

It's from Gravity Falls. You may like it but I don't know. I was actually disappointed at first, and kind of still am, but that's not common. Everyone else I know who was interested in that kind of story in a cartoon (kids staying with their uncle in a town known for paranormal activity/mysteries/conspiracy theories and such) that watched it were really impressed. I kept watching anyway to see where it would go. While I'm still rather so-so on the series as a whole I will admit that the two newest episodes were well done and interesting. They are improving. Also in between seasons there was an interview I saw somewhere that basically mentioned that a couple of the things I didn't like were ultimately annoyances to the writers as well (and they were trying to move away from some of them).
Anyway, I'd probably suggest watching and seeing for yourself if you are open to/interested in American style cartoons. It has an interesting tone/feel to it because it's a Disney Cartoon that Disney Channel hired animators and writers from Cartoon Network to make (as to try something different. If nothing else it did succeed in getting it some notice before it even aired). It really does have the feel of something oddly between the two styles (iconic Disney and iconic Cartoon Network). So yeah.. just try an episode or two and see if you have the time and this sounds interesting. As I said I'm kind of meh on it but most other adult animation fans I know like it and were impressed by the series. If it means anything to you the Nostalgia Critic is even a fan of it and has been posting review videos lately. The reviews are about 10-15 minutes long so if you really are unsure whether this is something to watch maybe one of those could help decide, but I'm not sure really how useful they would be.
