Entry for Realm-of-Serpents ' currently ongoing Path of the Moon event. When the Aurora Expedition is attacked, Eyvindur takes action to protect them.

By the Light of Day
The Aurora Expedition’s security has grown increasingly uneasy in the days since the small moonviper outpost was discovered. Odd noises, strange forms half-sighted in the caverns and crevices nearby… it has them fearing an ambush by ice monsters.

When the attack finally comes, it is something out of a nightmare. The sun has partially set, painting the surrounding landscape in shades of deep crimson. What comes pouring out of the nearby ice crevasses like so many silver worms are not ice monsters, but what appear to be dragons - all horribly twisted by the Gates, eyeless and many-limbed. The descendants of the unfortunate soldiers who accompanied Adeodatus’ children into the north, changed into something inhuman and hungry... or the very creatures that devoured them?
