Edit: I went back and did some touch ups on this piece. I just couldn't stand the way it looked. I didn't re-paint anything. I just changed some of the colors.Down below is a comparison of old vs new.

The examples you gave would look very boring in comic book form. the thing about comics is that they are always exaggerated, otherwise they are boring to the reader, It's called "selective realism".
All I'm saying is that J. Scott Campbell is one of the few artists who plays around with different positions and I like him for that. I don't appreciate the amount of flak he gets for it. But that's just my opinion.
