Exaggerating an an action will make an action appear more dynamic.
Picking up an object? Make the charcter arch it's back when picking the object up, make the charcter show struggle by taking time to pick the object up, make the character do more than 1 attempt.
A general rule is that it is better to exaggerate too much than too little. Because you can dial the exaggeration down afterwards.
