For those who do not know, at the Pittsburgh zoo, the male lion, Kit, recently and suddenly passed on Aug 7 2023 at 9:18 am.
It was unexpected and he will be missed by many. Rest in piece. He was magnificent and beautiful. We miss you, Kit and will remember you forever. You live on in the keepers and my heart.💔 You will never be replaced and hold a special place in me. You were courageous, strong and brilliant and I hope to be just the same. I never wanted to see this day but it will always come when having something you love. He was one of my favorites to photograph and it is a shame to see him go. He was always funny to watch when he pushed the cubs around and a very strong spirit. 🦁😭❤️
