Serenity Rune is a rock musician who appears in The Sims 4: High School Years expansion pack. She is the daughter of classical rock musician Steven Rune and the step-daughter of journalist Celia Avon.

Serenity was born to Steven and his previous wife, a woman named Alexandra Opal (which formed the basis for her middle name). When Serenity was in her infancy, her mother passed away unexpectedly, putting the family's life in peril. Steven later remarried with his new wife named Celia after he arrived in Copperdale, and they lived in a house near LaSuli Point where Serenity lived until she became an adult.

Serenity's natural hair color was blonde, and she initially enjoyed classical music as a toddler and during most of her time in elementary school. However, the memory of her losing her mother came back to haunt her, and as a result she started listening to metal music, which was against the family's values. By the time she reached high school, she bleached her hair and began dying it numerous times, while cutting it into a short bob with a bang completely covering her left eye. The transformation of her into an emo girl was completed the summer before she started her final year in high school, when she decided to permanently dye her hair to her signature jet black color. Despite possessing an emo look, she was a honors student in high school, where she learned to play Grim's Ghoulish Guitar. She worked as a video game streamer during her time in high school.

The day after completing her last final exam of her high school career, Serenity celebrated her birthday at prom, wearing a signature white sequin dress. Her popularity as a streamer helped her become a party animal. After blowing out the candles and becoming an adult, she was voted as the prom queen, an achievement she would remember forever.
