Welcome to part 1 of a new series I call a "Let's Draw" where I'll upload an art project in several stages of production while providing commentary explaining the process of creating the project. Think of it as like the DeviantArt equivalent of a YouTube, "Let's Play".In this drawing, Crash tragically lost his last life to Dr. Cortex and Uka Uka and has went on to the afterlife. Back on Earth, it is now up to Coco, Crunch, and Aku Aku to save the world now and get revenge for the death of Crash.
Before I color my digital drawings in Photoshop, all of them start out as sketches on paper. I worked with various Google Images of the characters while drawing them to ensure better accuracy. The general layout represents a contrast between a calm and blissful paradise above and a dark and intense battle below. This was definitely a lot of fun to draw and I'm looking forward to coloring it in which will hopefully exemplify the contrasts even greater.
