Rediscovering Street II
In this journal I would like to present the work of our resident Architect and friend who sends us postcards from all over the world, José Calheiros, better known as JACAC.
I have always wanted to go through José's gallery, but since he is one of the most active deviants (bless him) among street photographers (he does other wonderful photography as well) on deviantArt, I kept on loosing out.
Over the past weekend I decided then to finally go on the grand tour, which is JACAC published works on this site, and now I'm taking you along.
Let me first introduce this artists Street work, since this was what I wanted to pursuing in his gallery.

I really like how in the photo it can be viewed in different ways.
I see it as kind of a movie scene. In the photo it looks like the city is being split and only the little girl seems to know what's going on, so she's racing to get to the bottom of it. The contrast is great because she's so colorful and everyone else is in darker attire, so it also seems to me that she's a sort of beacon of hope to save the city.
This is a really great photo, and really thought provoking.

That is quiet awesome and gives me more things to think about.
If I allowed to I tell you what I'm thinking:
A child so pure hearted in such a cruel world where no one sees it. This child is full of joy, easily amused by the smallest things... But the adults just work and searching for something that make them a little bit happy, Children just do, what they want to do...
Children do nothing without being happy..
Adults just do, what they have to do.
Sad, why can't more people hold on the past's things, what makes us happy?
I still ask myself..
how would the adults in your photo react if there wasn't a children... If there was an adult man jumping like her?

Love the angle of the shot with the strong leading lines and then the break away and colourful focus with the blue patterned raincoated child finding an opportunity to play in the street "drabness"! Wonderful.
