Description
“I know I belong here. So the Gods must know that too, and they wouldn’t let me fail.” They were talking to reassure themselves more than to convince Temperance otherwise. Their eyes still couldn’t meet Temperance’s, even more so now. She hums thoughtfully. “But I know I need to learn everything first.” They say, more firmly. “What else can you show me?”
After so many recent losses Vektren could certainly use someone with June’s conviction, providing it’s actually backed by the will and ability to succeed. Temperance dismounts the fallen tree she’d been leading them along, no longer quite so interested in the view a higher vantage point might provide, and looks back into the territory behind her. The sharp outline of the Howling Peaks stands above the forests and cuts into the sky.
What felt like many seasons ago she had stood against the winds at their peak and sung to her packmates below to announce that her blood had joined theirs in the Sacred Pond. Someday, hopefully, June will do the same or find themselves in the pits at the base of those same mountains if they’re lucky. “Do you see that mountain standing all by itself?”

This one took us a little bit because June and Temperance got SUPER chatty but this was yet another an amazing RP with my dear newt-onix who really challenged me to think about what Temperance's trials may have looked like in having June consider theirs, which helped me come up with some fun ideas.
Thank you so much for yet another banger, Newt!
