This was a happy accident. I consider it a work in progress, but this is my stopping point for tonight.

I essentially threw down several colors and started moving them around with the smudge tool. This woman began emerging from the mess of colors and I have since then been attempting to uncover her.

This approach has affected me differently than my more conventional techniques. Somehow, it feels a little more natural even though it's a bit chaotic.
