It's been a very long time since I've touched the anime style. It was an addiction I had for too long and I'd finally kicked the habit. You see, it was getting in the way of my development. I had become obsessed with the stripped down symbolism that's inherent in the anime styles. I had been training myself to neglect detailism.

But I conquered that. I am no longer held down by it. I can plan my strokes more tactfully now.

Don't get me wrong. I can appreciate the aesthetic appeal of the anime styles, but it's not the only thing out there.

Now sure what I'm going to do with this piece exactly, but I have some ideas. I am impressed with myself at how much more easily I find myself being able to plan ahead with the piece.
