Description
An energy cell comprised of a pair of crystal sheets in the crossbow's stock is charged with arcane energy, when the safety crank is in the upright position and the trigger is pulled a switch in the crossbow's base is triggered and arcane energy flows along conduits made of silver-mythril alloy into the enchantment chamber. The enchantment chamber is a glass cylinder with a pair of crystal contacts enchanted with the desired spell matrix, the energy flows between the pair of crystals as the enchantments are applied to the oncoming energy, at which point the energy flows along the side-mounted conduits into the bow-segment, where it feeds four crystal thaumic pumps that actually cast the desired spell. The spell is focused down the barrel by a series of thaumic lenses and toward the target. This variant is programmed with an incendiary beam spell.
