I bought Rocket Raccoon #1 (2014). The comic was funny and dark at the same time. I was stunned to find out there was another raccoon in the galaxy like Rocket outside of being hunted by his ex-girlfriends.(Man, that raccoon "gets around"). I wonder who the other raccoon is. The comic basically continues the Side comic of Rocket Raccoon found in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 1 where the Β alien victim is shot through the chest when he mentions he saw a creature just like Rocket and Rocket pursues the suspect but loses him. I really want to know who this raccoon is. I hope the author gives him a back-story of some sort. I really recommend fans to get this comic. Anything can happen on the comic pages, I won't be surprised to see other talking raccoon in a Rocket Raccoon issue. Storytellers aways have to come up with something to tell on the pages to start with. I do know this as a comic artist, anything to get a story going good and strong.
I bought the actual first issue (same copy as yours) on the day it first came out (July 3th, 2014) with bag and board, however I hadn't read it yet due to the two art college classes in this summer. But I did make sure I got a copy of my own jut in case it might get sold out after that.
It will be the only comic book ongoing series that I will try my best to keep collecting the issues.
