It's a really literal title. It was the day that I went to Ground Zero. That same day I was covering an article as photographer and we were in Grenwich Village and I just came across this entire fence covered from top to bottom with tiles. It was called Tiles For Erica, a tribute to a child that died in the September 11 terrorist attack. It was actually tiles painted by children for the children that died in 9/11. It was so moving to see all the names and the words that the children wrote. No hatred or revenge, just hope and sorrow. It was .. the most moving thing I've ever seen..
