Lucy Heartfilia - Fairy TailDamn... I gave up waaaay too much of my time and sleep for this. Stupid background took FOREVER!!! Re-did everything 2-3 times. Hate my perfectionism... Oh well... it was good practice. It feels like its missing something though... >:/

Vision: The character is shown in the foreground which normally indicates depth, the character is the main attraction. You clearly want the character to stand out in the background.
Originality: Well it's simply different. You don't see Lucy in front of a building in most artwork. You clearly drew Lucy the way you imagined her. The detailing is superb!
Technique: I really like the technique and style this is drawn in. Lovely detailing yet backdrop books like watercolor & should have little more detail so it doesn't fade.
Impact: Quite a huge impact because I couldn't take my eyes off this.

Vision:I like the concept but people often want to see a character to where they've been or it depends on the clothing to where they want to be.It also does not look like she's in Fiore nor the town she lives in anymore.
Originality:I can see a few details of her that are true but her bra is a bit noticeable,she wears some sort of boots with a high heeled detail and you colored it brown,she does not wear any stockings,her eyes are brown but you colored it very light brown,she only has one belt hanging and her lips look a bit thicker so I only gave 3/5.
Technique:I really like the technique but I couldn't give you full marks because since your drawing was an animation some parts of the drawing look like they're from a real painting.
Impact:The impact is quite high,I can see why you didn't put dark colors.The backround is better than the foreground,the reason is because the foreground is a little messy.

Vision: A very nice concept, showing the character in a place where they are not often seen, but is known to be very important to them. I gave 4/5 for this as the actual idea of the pose doesn't particularly suit. She seems more battle ready than at home and relaxed.
Originality: Very rarely do I see Fairy Tail works, so you scored high. However I couldn't give you full marks seen as neither the character or location are of your own original creation
Technique: The technique in the background is very well executed, in particular I like the texture of the tree. However I dislike the disconnection between the lineart and the background, and the Lineart itself isn't quite perfect, her face in particular seems to be quite unlike Lucy's face.
Impact: Impact is quite high, with nice colours and flow, with just the seperation between foreground and background being too jarring.

I actually like the contrast between the character in the foreground and the style used in the background. It makes her pop out without being too jarring. As far as what it would be missing, I am not sure. It is balanced, overall, but I am drawn less to the right half because it has nothing going on in the foreground, and is fairly stationary/static otherwise. I still feel it's an excellent piece.

The background is beautifully done, and I like the effort you've put into Lucy. But I have to agree that the most jarring effect is the different styles between Lucy and her background. The contrast between them is too great. One has desaturated colours and blurred tones, the other with crisper colours and black outlines.
